My Favourite time of the year! Finally Walleye opener 2024 has come. I absolutely Love walleye fishing, sharing my tip and tacks. Today was a day just to be getting out and fishing for these difficult fish, while trying to dodge all the Smallmouth Bass. Plus a Pike came around to say HI as well.

Hey Thanks Buddy. I tried to steer clear of the Smallmouth, but they kept hitting.
@@HookLineandKyleP It’s something that you can’t avoid, you’re not targeting them or fishing beds. I hook them as well while steelhead fishing but release them right away like you did.
It was nice meeting you at the dam, Kyle! We only caught a few bass but no walleye or pike.....
I missed opening I had to work.I am coming down tomorrow for a few days. Maybe see you out there.

Where on the grand is this I always go to the dam in Caledonia
Lower Wilkes Dam Area.
I was sleeping on that one I thought it was the third Saturday in may . You mean I could have went for walleye this weekend that past

You had me confused. There's no closed season for walleye on the grand river. Grand river in Ohio.
