I am surprised Roland has not come out with a new version of one of these that is up to par with VST orchestra sounds. It doesn't sound terrible, but it does not sound as good as software VSTs IMO. Believe me, if they came out with hardware that sounded as good or better than VSTs, I would jump on it in a heartbeat. That way no having to deal with OS compatibility and licensing crap. And you OWN it forever.
Doesn’t sound bad to me at all. I have the Integra 7 too. It all that depends on what you are putting together. Ultimately how do you want your listener to perceive it when they use their imagination to think of when, what, happy, sad, scary vintage etc? Some sounds you may never use, but that’s your taste telling you no or it doesn’t fit in the context you have set out for. So many sounds in one box though of course you will hear some duds…the challenge is can you make them work?
So digital ? What does that even mean a jealous guy with no gear obviously analogue/digital shut up man mr know it all knows nothing we love our integra 7 hater wishes he ha one get a life bro who cares about your opinion
@@StudioToys I'm not enthusiastic about Roland string sounds either. I get where he's coming from, but i wouldn't be so rude about it. They can 100% sound excellent in a mix. When i'd like to play nice strings/orcherstral patches, my go to is Kurzweil PCK, they sound more realistic, especially the ensemble patches.

@NordWinter2 The best way to get a great orchestra sound is to hire one. That's how all the albums were made back in the day.
