About the images:
All of the widefield images were taken with a Canon 6D MKII, through a Samyang 50mm f1.4. I could not it the lightpollution-filter into the full frame cam, but the Starglow filter from Alyn Wallace was in there

Really like this video, a perfect balance between actually looking at the stars and using a minimum of gear to capture some lovely shots. That star hopping demonstration to find Andromeda is a great way the find something hard to see with the naked eye!
Great video Tim,
I wish we had night skies like that here in London.
The video very interesting and educational.
Clear skies 🌠

I really like this video!
To focus at night, just use live view and zoom feature to enlarge a star and manually focus looking at the backscreen
Good job repeating what I said on the video
Hi Tim . I have the Canon T6i (750D) and after watching one of your earlier videos about silent shooting I managed to find the Mirror Lockup Function in the Custom Functions Menu page 9 . This only works in Liveview but it has eliminated 99% of my oval and blurred stars from my Light Frame Images . Thanks for steering me in the right direction . Cheers/SRK
Excited!
G'day Tim from Australia. Love your videos. What software did you use to overlay the constellation charts on your images at the end of the video?
PixInsight
10:00 flickr ? not plaine..?
hey short question! Is anyone here from eastern germany? If so -> colment pls
How did you do the stars of the constelations pop? Did you use Alyn Wallace's filter or just a photoshop technique?
The filter
