Hi Sam, we love your videos. They give us something to look forward to for when we can finally get back to visit Hong Kong from Australia. We love getting some char Sui from the local bbq place around the corner from our aunties house in Happy Valley. Perhaps you could do a segment on Chinese bbq. It would be great to add somewhere to the list for our next visit. Happy new year, we look forward to your future videos.

Hi Marcus, thank you for the kind words, and glad you're enjoying the channel! Char siu is one of our favourites as well, and that's a great idea that we'll consider for an upcoming video. Until then, we visit a char siu place in the Wan Chai video that you can find here: ua-cam.com/video/YZoQurOgwyo/v-deo.html ... Enjoy!

Love your videos. I lived in HK when I was a child and have memories of some of the places you feature. I really enjoyed your Hoods series. The effort you put in on showing more of the city than what a tourist might experience is appreciated. Watching them brought me closer to my hometown. I am enjoying this series, too. I am a proud HKer and love food. I can almost taste the brisket, egg tarts, noodles, etc. If I were to go back, I will definitely use your videos to reference all the places I need to eat at! Good work.

We’re glad you’re enjoying the channel, and the ‘Hoods series isn’t over, and we will be adding to it in the future (in fact, it’s very possible that our next episode will be the original format). Also glad you’re enjoying our food segments; it’s out pleasure to be able to uncover all these hidden gems and help rekindle connections with Hong Kong 🇭🇰

Actually it's been existed for more than 30 years. They used to be in the small alley in the other block of the street behind where they are right now, just a cart with a few tables in the alley. Thanks for the wave of good review from the tourists, they have moved to the current shop. Their broth are one of the best.

Lots of respect to you for actually trying all these different foods! I have English colleagues who only eat Subway and McDonald's when they stay in Hong Kong and don't even dare try the local cuisine. Such a wasted opportunity I say! One of my all time favourites in Hong Kong is their beef brisket soup rice and beef brisket noodles, as well as curry beef brisket. Do you think you could hunt down the best places for these as I'm a huge beef brisket fan!

So Long story short, me n my mom are American, bio dad died when I was 2 years old, mom ended up dating a Cantonese man, he was 17 when him & his family migrated to American from Hong kong when he was 17, he knew no English and graduated HS (not ged) within a year, I'm 38 now & it's been a amazing life to be able to see this side of culture, so much good food & dim sum omg & tea, I can never get enough of Cantonese cooking, my Cantonese grandparents still alive & are just amazing cooks, I just cannot cook like them no matter how many years being in the kitchen watching my grandmother cook, it's a whole another level, anyways I could talk for hours but thank you & love your channel ❤️ 💙 ♥️
