After having used both the 16 Pro Max and 16 Plus for two weeks, I returned the 16 Pro Max and kept the 16 Plus. Feels so much better to hold. Lighter, thinner, fun color. Loving it.
I’m definitely down grading to the 16 plus just because of the color. I’ll miss the pro max camera features and wide screen but I’m fine with it and I’ll have the sort of the same battery
I just traded down to the 16+ from the 16 Pro Max. I like the fact that it's lighter and because it's still the same size screen from last year's plus, it's much easier to hold as well as it's much lighter. The higher refresh rate means nothing to me because I'm visually impaired and cannot see those things on the screen, I'm a voiceover user and I do all of my action with my right index finger, and trust me, you cannot tell the difference between the 60 Hz screen and a 120 Hz screen when you're just scrolling with your finger. I really really do like the 16+ phone and from what I've been told This ultramarine color is just sick.
After 3 years owning a 12 Pro Max I spent a lot of time debating whether to get a Pro Max or Plus. I was pretty set on waiting to upgrade to the 16 Pro Max when it came out, but when the 16 lineup actually released, and after I actually checked the models out in-hand at the store, I came away so impressed with the standard models that I decided to save a few hundred bucks and grab the 16 Plus in Teal. And I don't regret it one bit! The design, the lighter weight, to that beautiful color, all with the added benefit of finally again having the latest chip and RAM... it's a fantastic package.

I got this in the 512GB and have to say, such an amazing device. The stellar things about this phone for me is the insane battery life, it's full day easy. Even at 10% it lasts for about 2-3 hours
So what you're saying is they need to _not_ do it. You realize they do want to sell those Pro devices? Also, 120Hz is severely overrated among UA-cam commenters. Most people just don't care about this.
I got this as a Christmas gift and love it so far. The size and weight are great, the screen is great, even if it's a bit slow, and the battery life is phenomenal.
The 60hz is not noticeable at all, unless you have this side by side with a Pro model. Even with that it's such a nit pic that you'd have to consciously know that its at 60hz. Otherwise you'd not even care.
I went from iPhone 14pro to iPhone 16 plus. I enjoy it. Idc about the 60hz or the bezels. I enjoy the bigger screen, the better chip, more memory. Great phone.
I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max and was gifted the iPhone 16 Plus. Surprisingly, I don’t really miss the 120Hz display from the 14 Pro Max. I still use my old phone for its camera, but honestly, the 16 Plus has been more than enough for my daily needs. The design looks better, the battery life is fantastic (even when I charge it to an 85% limit, it still lasts all day), and it’s incredibly fast. Plus, with the addition of Apple AI, it feels even more advanced. I’d definitely recommend it-great performance and value!

I just switched to the 16 plus yesterday from the regalar 15 pro. I’m way happier. Bigger screen, still a slightly faster processor, still have AI, etc. And honestly, I can’t even tell I don’t have a 120hz screen anymore. And I save $2 a month on my phone bill 🤪

Coming from iPhone 12 I planned to buy 16 pro max but in person the pro's colour looks so dull and same as previous year. Moreover 16 plus is so appealing with big battery and colour. Even camera in side by side comparison not so big difference. So went with 16 plus ultramarine ❤
I was on the 120hz or bust team BUT after you use a 60hz again and if you’re not fling scrolling it’s not really that apparent. At the end of the day I’d rather have the battery life. Doesn’t matter how smooth the scrolling experience is if the screen is off because the battery is dead 😂.
I’ve been a pro max user for years, but I decided this time to go with the 16 plus. I’m tired of paying top dollar if the difference is somewhat imperceptible. I’ve got a 4k 120hz screen on my laptop, I don’t need one on my phone.
Switched from an 8 plus to the 16 plus. Honestly I wasn’t really needing to upgrade from my 8, it still works great. Wife and kids were upgrading theirs so the wife got me this. I could’ve got the pro but I prefer a slightly bigger screen and better battery life. Wife got the pro so I can compare. I’m happy with it but I will miss the button. My old 8 will get a battery replacement and relegated to iPod duty. I have a huge music and video library so I always get the max storage size. My 8 was 256gb, now I’m at 512. Already went through this with my old button iPad Pro to the newest version. I still think the button with gestures is the ideal setup to me.
I paid 1119 for my 16 pro max after tax if I was buying the 256 16 plus it would cost 1101.03 it was honestly a no brainer to get the pro max and I’m satisfied , coming from the 12pro max it actually feels like an upgrade
Was considering this phone but ultimately went with the 16 Pro Max, I needed more than 128GB for storage and by opting for the 256GB plus it brought the price another $100 closer to the pro max and after taxes and all their was only about a $175 difference between a 256GB pro max and a 256GB plus so I just said screw it and went pro

I had the 14 pro and i really wanted the 16 pro max so i bought it. It’s not for everybody this phone is huge and also really expensive. If you’ve never had a pro motion iPhone then buy the 16 plus and be happy with it, because once you see pro motion you will hate 60hz
Upgraded from a midnight 13 to a black 16 Plus 256gb and I’m happy. It’s everything I want in a smart phone, which is basic. I like basic. I also have big hands so it’s comfy too. 120 hertz is cool and all. But I don’t need all of that. And the battery lasts almost 2 days. Either way I’m a happy camper.
Does it have a night mode? Can you take great photos in low light? What about anti glare features? When you try to take pictures in bright sunlight and you can’t see what you are taking. Would this phone help in this situation?
What tech enthusiast doesn't seem to undersman. In the apple world, there are 60 hz, and 120 hz, It doesn't matter what people have on the Android side. Nobody from the apple side cares. That's what they need to understand. That's what apple understands.
Nahh, they understand: 120 hz in the base models will destroy our pro max sells. For those prices I expect a phone with very little issues. While I can agree that a lot of people won't notice/care about the refresh rate, you cannot hide the fact that they can do better if they wanted to, talking mainly about the USB-C forced by Europe, RCS support on their messages app, or the Epic Games fight for how much money they get from their store platform. It's a shame because I appreciate a lot of things from Apple, but the only way I could try their products is if I had a lot of money to spare, which is not a case for a lot of people in the world.

I saw that promotion in person, and it looked really smooth, and the 18 pro chip has an extra GPU core and 120hz, so I can game at 120fps, so I got the iPhone 16 pro, and I'm opening it on Christmas

I have a 16 pro max with apple intelligence and only found it interesting for a day. Their apple intelligence plan is really lacking compared to others and they aren’t even that good. Maybe I still have to wait for all of them to roll up but for now I could honestly not care if they didn’t exist.

It’s just such a shame it runs an operating system as bad as iOS. Even if they brought some of the iPadOS features across it would make a huge improvement despite that being subpar also. What is the point of a large screen iPhone otherwise? It is so overpriced it is utterly inexcusable. @@mattt21 too smooth for my liking. It is similar to those marvel movies in high frame rate sometimes, I need motion blur, even more when I am driving or reading while in the passenger seat. Also, it bothers me, that apple car or the watch are not in 120 hz so, the mismatch is quite obvious.

I got the 16 plus in teal and I'm enjoying it and that's coming from an iPhone 15 pro. I'm using it as a stop gap till the 17 air comes out next year.

I have a 16 pro max with apple intelligence and only found it interesting for a day. Their apple intelligence plan is really lacking compared to others and they aren’t even that good. Maybe I still have to wait for all of them to roll up but for now I could honestly not care if they didn’t exist.

It’s just such a shame it runs an operating system as bad as iOS. Even if they brought some of the iPadOS features across it would make a huge improvement despite that being subpar also. What is the point of a large screen iPhone otherwise? It is so overpriced it is utterly inexcusable. It deserves to fail and I am absolutely sure it will because android are leaving the fruit company behind.

@@mattt21 too smooth for my liking. It is similar to those marvel movies in high frame rate sometimes, I need motion blur, even more when I am driving or reading while in the passenger seat. Also, it bothers me, that apple car or the watch are not in 120 hz so, the mismatch is quite obvious.

If it started at $599, I think it would be great. While I don't care that much about refresh rate, battery matters more to me, if I'm paying that price it needs to have more than what Apple gave.
