Niles said the listener seems familiar, and that if we were a few hundred years older, he would say he knew the listener. I think the listener may be someone Niles used to know, but had died and became a wandering spirit. Possibly has something with the rogue mage from the academy. Anyways, since the listener is dead, their blood burns the vampires. Maybe vampires need blood of living or recently deceased beings. Old, dead blood is lethal to vampires. Just a thought. I love this series!
I was thinking something similar! Though notice that at 3:55 the younger brother questions why a 'human'? And then goes to question if hes going to REPEAT the same mistake as the brother we are yet to meet. So what if the listener, in a past life, was living with them as a human too, (partner or friend) of that brother (Sunny) and somehow died. And since they do live for years, the brother could have been grieving for so long that it gave MC time to reincarnate (or be brought back to life), and that may be why Niles said we seemed familiar????
A family dynamic that doesn’t make me want to cry? Am I on the right channel? Oh…that’s why we’re “joining the family.” Where did Seig end up, I need to reincarnate the spirit of his bff to kick his ass.
The mental gymnastic in this video is strong for sure. I love how not all the brothers are the same and not the cliche we-hate-our-father-who-make-us-like-this. But instead, Sieg was actually saving them (even thought I still want to kick his ass). The motivation is also understandable so I really dont know how to react. Niles being vulnerable in the end is too much for my heart-- Tbh, I wanna know how Sieg in this era sounds and behaves. Because time certainly does something to him in the current timeline.

I was stareled by the whoosh. I can almost picture him, appearing behind the listener, one hand behind his back, the other on the listener’s shoulder, leaning over, close to the neck.
Okay, so I watched this entire series FOUR times. Four danged times. I fell asleep every time -- your voice is just so damned calming. But at one point, I woke up during this speech about being lonely (I DON'T KNOW WHO IT WAS BECAUSE I KEPT FALLING ASLEEP) and how listener reminds them of their love from eighty years ago, and how if he closes his eyes he can imagine that he is with them again -- just for a moment. How listener has taken a liking to his brother, and visa versa. And I was REALLY sad in my dreams, so much so, that it woke me up and I listened to the entire ending of that episode before restarting the entire series (fourth time) and falling asleep again. So, now I'm trying again while fully awake and only commenting now--third episode in. Hollow_ dearest, the gentle piano, your voice, your acting, the combination is just... mesmerizing. When fatigued, it's best not save your wonderous voice, your acting, and your absolutely amazing stories for another occasion. lol P.S. This is now my fifth time.

I know this series isn't exactly new, but I'm just getting around to listening to it and I had to share my appreciation. I love this!! But now I’m dying to see Sunny and hopefully see him get help lol. The back and forth of the brothers was hilarious, Sigmire’s (sorry if I butcher the names) bubbly personality is great and Bastionis with his inner beast was very intriguing (hope to see more of the beast coming in since the human being a temptation). This is a great story and I look forward to future vids!

Maybe silently observing? I could just be overthinking though,, don't mind me too much.
This has my heart torn in two since I do enjoy there company, but to be used as a weapon on other humans doesn't leave a nice taste in my mouth. If my blood will be used to end a war I would be ok with that but to be used to turn humans into the eternally damned would rather has wished the youngest to kill me. The balance between Vampires and humans are delicate and should not be tampered with in any form of rapid proportion. Vampires need the living blood and with a rapid influx of them may cause the human race to dwindle and cause a blood shortage of sorts. If Nyles doesn't not wish to continue to do this line of work why can't he proposed him and his brother train successors like their father. And if he doesn't not wish to turn any one find newborns who have already have experienced a human life and understand the balance of keeping the world in check.
