People who don't know basketball call Monroe's game out of date because he doesn't shoot threes. There's reasons why guys like him still get signed. In the playoffs when defenses get tight his ability to score close to the basket is invaluable. When surrounded by shooters he's almost unguardable. Let's not forget he's a strong rebounder, something the Celtics need desperately.
