Thanks for your review. I like the feedback but have to ask if you don't like the W brand and the little W finishes why stay there. As you say they have a modern hip vibe and that follows through. I agree that breakfast can be improved upon. It is my main gripe that I have raised with management. I have to say comparing Six Senses in Douro is like comparing soft and hard cheese 🙂 FYI, the music by the pool is never overpowering and the late night music and is away from the hotel and you cannot hear it. I see W's "Contemporary Luxury."
We like to stay in different Hotels in areas to compare and contrast. We are big Marriott Bonvoy fans and like to visit the top properties in the area we are visiting and report here. We do realize not everyone likes the same types of vacations/hotels. We really do appreciate your comments and interaction, it really adds to the process. Thank You for watching.

@@CraigeCorenlove One &Only. Totally agree now and then going outside the brand is best especially when traveling in Europe. The inclusion of Mr&Mrs Smith in Hyatt (where we also have top status) is very exciting to us as many in that brand are super cool. And Six Senses is part of IHG (I think their only luxury brand).We stayed at other W's in Austin, AZ, NY, CostaRica and a few others and overall it's a"fun" experience and the pool music isn't ever an issue as we're beach peeps so spend little time at the pools but try to give info for all. We had a fine experience at the W Algarve, but for us it's a one and done. With that said we LOVE LOVE LOVE your thoughts and opinions as we want to ensure we're hitting all the info other travelers are seeking and hearing everyone 's thoughts. Headed to Bora Bora in a few days and doing a comparison of the new Westin (just opened) vs the St Regis.
@@KikiAndJeffreyPearl Cheers, I stayed in the W this year in Melbourne and Sydney (both new) and Dubai & Koh Samui which were all great plus Ritz Carlton in Langkawi (wonderful), the JW Marriott in Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong. Happy to share feedback if you want. About to head to Mauritius and staying at One & Only and JW Marriott. St Regis Bora Bora is on my bucket list 🙂
Mauritius, sorry I thought I mentioned that earlier.. I didn’t think you could have Lifetime Titanium, I thought Platinum was the highest you could get Lifetime but I must’ve been wrong.
