It’s possible that he upgraded the transmitter to Traxxas TQi only. TQi offers end point adjustments and possible better control with bluetooth programmability.
From what I have seen and heard from others, it shouldn't matter. That being said, if you feel more comfortable, you can always put a very light coating.
Thanks for pointing it out. Normally on a 1/10 scale, a light coating of grease is required, but on TRX4M it is not mandatory. That being said if you do put grease, make sure that it's a very light coating.
Thanks for the video, had to leave in the middle of the process and forgot how to put it back together.
Glad it helped
Thank you, good to follow. I replaced them quite easily :)
Glad it helped

You are welcome! Glad it was helpful.
Thanks you 👍🏻🙏🏻
Thank you too
nice gear set and great install
Thanks 🙏
Do you know what pitch pinion I need to work with the transmission gears?
I don't remember from my memory, but you might be able to reach out to Traxxas customer service for the information. Good luck.
@@BigSungHobbies thanks ❤
Does it not need any grease for the gears? Thank you for the video. I have the gears on the way.
From what I have read, it doesn't need it, but you can put very light coating if you feel more comfortable.
I changed the whole transmission,to the injora aluminum trannny, stronger than the plastic one
Cool bro
thank you sir
Most welcome!
My slow gears (official from Traxxas) are much louder than the stock ones, is it ok?
Mine is a little louder as well. It should be fine, but you can always dab a very thin layer of grease to see if that helps.
Upgrade radio, and you'll get lots of wheel speed, but smoothe crawl too, the radio is the problem, stock setup is fine
Thanks for the info. Upgrading the radio is a great idea, and one that I plan to do at some point, but $5 gear set will be a good interim solution ;)
The ESC is the problem ! ^^ Dont tell me you swapped Transmitter and Reciever but still use stock ESC....
It’s possible that he upgraded the transmitter to Traxxas TQi only. TQi offers end point adjustments and possible better control with bluetooth programmability.
The reciever is apart of the esc on the TRX4M, so the esc would have to be replaced & then get a seperate reciever.
Thanks.
Thanks for checking out the video.
Good job!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
So no lithium grease? I would think you would plastic gears dry.

Good time to upgrade to bearings from bushings ,for even better performance
What does do
Good call!
Bearings will have slight better performance over bushings.
Traxxax should pay You for so good movies:) thx:)The grease is not needed on theese gears?
It's not needed, but a very light coating works as well.
This new gear metal or plastic sir?
They are plastic gears as far as I can remember...it's been a while since I had installed them.
Wouldn’t metal gears be better?
At the time of the video, these were the only options.
No grease?
Not really needed in this case, but you can put really light coating if you desire.
Change what gears with what 🤷♂️
The video provides step-by-step instruction on how to change the gear set. Good luck.
You forgot gear oil
