I like the wrap, IMO looks way better than all black. I appreciate your honesty Ian, things like you saying that you don't need the upper crash bars. Keep up the good work.
As a GS user I would recommend upper crash bars because a few times I fell (at slow speeds) the bikes upper side touch the ground. I think it is a useful accessory.
Thanks Ian 👍 Your videos helps a lot to make a proper decision when buying a bike or some extra gear. I decided to equip my R1300GS with Touratech lower engine bars. Your test proved to me that this is what I need. Once more thanks a lot! You are doing a great job 👍
Those mods, minus the wrap look awesome! Thanks Ian for the honest reviews. Would love to see you do a long mile adventure, camping trip with this beast!
I’ve always wanted a BMW GS. The cost deterred me from pulling the trigger on this iconic bike, though. I ended up buying a 2024 Triumph Scrambler 1200xe. The difference in cost between the two bikes was about $2000. Maybe I should have gone with the BMW. Still, and all, I’m really enjoying the Triumph. I’m slowly accessorizing the Scrambler to my taste. Upgraded foot-pegs, exhaust, tail tidy, turn signals, and luggage are my plans for the bike. That 270 degree firing order takes a little getting used to with the Triumph, but when you twist the throttle she goes like the wind. I really appreciate your in-depth reviews, and all the great products you introduce to us. Wishing you well, and Happy Trails!
Love the videos! Just wanted to mention something you likely missed in post, but at 0:16 you refer to your bike as a GSA. Looking forward to your reviews when that bike arrives stateside! No matter for me, as the new GS looks far better than the adventure, at least for the time being.
I agree, I hate strap tank bags on my AT. But man, these SW tank bags hang off to much due to the slope, they just look weird. But they are so good, I’ll keep using mine 😂
You have a fab way of dealing with skeptics and ppl disgruntled with their life.. Strongly recommend on you making another channel or master class teaching some of ur skills about 1) calmness 2) positivity 3) poltiness 4) focus 5) sales and marketing 6) being likeable Etc Etc
I like the wrap, the bike looks more exciting. BMW does a generally poor job with the GS paintwork, in my opinion. Keep up the great work and ignore the detractors.
Hey Ian, great video as always :) I love watching your reviews, they always seem so genuine. It's little off topic, but I was wondering what shirt you're wearing in this video? I've been looking for something similar for a little while! Keep up the good work :)
I did a demo ride today and have to say it may be the best bike I've ever ridden....Definitely the fastest. Waiting till 2025 the make the jump though. Still not sure if I'd prefer the standard or adventure model. I really liked the lightness and feel of the standard but I'd like the fuel range of the standard.
Nice review. I bought a 1300GS and like the wrap, which looks close to the Trophy edition I bought. My bike is set up similar, but different choices, Clearwater lights, Lone Rider bags and Altrider crash bars. Same concept.
Good vid. Really like the Denali lights. Black dog pegs good stuff. Wrap looks great but is very busy looking. SWMoteck great bags. Mosko as well and great people to deal with. The expense. Run into this gor every bike. Spent almost that on my R9T UGS. Haven't bought tires yet but have full Ohlins and Giant Loop Sisknyou? saddle bags. Other items as well. It's mine. Much more on my Tenere
I'm really looking forward to the Chigee 6 coming out - it was mentioned on another channel that a 6" version is going to be released, and to me, that's the perfect size. So long as it fits in the BMW cradle, that's almost definitely what I'm going to go with.
Very cool Ian. I have a couple bikes but I’m looking at the gs. Africa twin and maybe the pan American. Maybe the 450 himi. I have the 300 l. 411 himi and a full dress Harley. I figure some day the Harley may get too heavy. I’m an older rider that wants to have a low seat height low maintenance and smooth ride with lite off road capabilities. Gravel roads. Jeep trail type stuff. It’s a great time to be a bike rider with all the adventure stuff out there. Thanks for your hard work and if you have time to steer me in a direction with that little info id appreciate it. If not no prob I understand time constraints. Love the Chanel and thanks for your hard work. Keep em coming.
Great video Ian. Thank you. I noticed you put the center stand and upper crash guards back on since the video you did the weigh reduction diet. :) Regardless, I’ve been riding mine for some time now. And make no mistake the seat situation is much to be desired. Everything gets kinda squished and the area of the perineum gets down right painful. My old Harley I switched to Corbin. Made a world of difference! Corbin is making a seat for the 1300gs. Currently in the R & D phase. When talking with Corbin they said they take all that into consideration. Might have to flatten out the seat and make it more of a saddle. Which is fine for me because I don’t plan on doing crazy off-road. And if I did, I’d put the old seat back on. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you
I too think that the wrap is too much. Agreed in regards to Mosko making the best luggage in the biz, worth every penny. MotoZ GPS tires are good to go as are literally all of their tires. BDCW makes bomb proof kit but don't sleep on AltRider as well.
I met someone on the road who'd just bought a GS and had factory accessories and clothing. He was getting back into biking and the dealer offered a deal on the outfits. He felt kinf of embarrased that he looked like a BMW ad, but he rode off right away to lap Oz.
Can you do a video on BMW 1250 GS & GSA Ground Clearance? STANDARD & LOWERED SUSPENSION KIT. PRELOAD TO AUTO/MIN/MAX. There is no info on 1250 Ground Clearance.
I'm patiently waiting for the ktm 1290 super adventure s review and hopefully you will compare it to the gs1300. Being the KTM is $8-$10k cheaper it's an attractive competitor. I have 18k miles on my 23' Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Explorer and I'm thinking about trying something different, either a sas or gs.
Hey Ian , after watching your testing on the Aprillia Tuareg I purchased one Great bike. I'm keeping that but have ordered the BMWr1300GS for more road oriented riding. I'm not sure what air filter comes with the BMW but I replaced the Aprillia paper filter with the Australia uni filter. Didi you replace the BMW air filter with something different ?
hello to community out there! can anybody tell me how useful is that seat cover is? (net kind of cover on riders seat) im seeing it all over bike nowadays. how does it do on rainy and dusty condition? does it actually helps in under bum ventilation?
Well - now, that this bike with ASA came out - you must do a clip on that issue ! ☝☝😀 And - do you know why this bike, originally, has a PLASTIC gear shifter ?? I asked a couple of dealers in NoWay - they know NOTHING 🤷♂
Picked up a 1250 gsa, thing sounds like a barrel full of bolts in a paint shaker. Rattles, pings, excessive valve noise. Blah blah. I'm not sure I'll ever buy another BMW with the current state of mine.
@@bradleyalexander5821 you have to pay even more to buy another color, and then change it to black afterwards to have a black base to wrap. BMW have sad colors, so wrapping is a good way to make them more interesting. It also preserve your precious black underneath.

I'm waiting for the next V-Strom episode!
I think the wrap looks great. That said , all that matters is how you feel about it.
Nice graphics kit. Gives the bike a unique look.
The wrap looks good in my opinion
That wrap looks dope man. Love from India🇮🇳

Definitely right on the invoice thing. NEVER let your spouse/partner know how much you spend on your bike. BTW what bar riser is that?

I was hoping for the 3 best dishwashing tips.
love the wrap! do you need a professional to apply it? ciao! and congrats for the channel!
found answer in your video...great

Awesome. I am fine with paper filters on the GS, personally, since I ride GS's mostly on road.
How are the forged wheels holding up?
Is this apple car play actually useful, I never found the use, Some PPL r installing even cameras in front & back these days like cars

Is your bike a r1300 gs Adventure ?
Did you have an issue with sound? (Engine/exhaust). Nothing to Prove sold his for that reason
You didn't cover what my 2011 R1200GS needs the most, a louder horn.

Are you going to get any foot pegs so that you can stretch your legs out?

lol you didn’t drive one b4 your bought it?
GS will not ride without auxiliary lights. The engine wouldn't even start 😂
Maybe I’m in the minority, but putting any wrap on a Triple Black is just wrong. Sorry folks, just my opinion.
I love my triple black 1300 GS and I can't bring myself to attach cheap vinyl to it!😅
To each his own, but there is no color other than triple black.
To have a black one and not put a wrap on it is just wrong. A missed opportunity, the black is the most neutral background for a wrap.
