Thank you for taking the time to make this video! My new Red Eye 66 did not come with a Belt Shifter. I ordered 2 by accident. I came with a spring but when I installed it, it rubbed up against the wheel. The 2nd one did not have a spring. But your easy to follow video showed me how to replace the spring with a Paperclip. You are Ingenious! And guess what, IT WORKS!!! :) Thanks to you, I now have a Belt shifter that will put the belt on the wheel and take the belt off the wheel. THANK YOU!!!
I was gifted a Singer treadle, but the iron belt guide is not attached. I can't for the life of me figure out where it goes and we do not have a sewing machine restoration shop here. Could you do a video on where it goes and how to attach it? Thanks.
those are big, but can be cut down, the important thing is that they are thick and made of steel so they flex, thin and aluminum paper clips have no flex.
