There is something simple a car owner can do. A car’s engine needs fuel to run, help yourselves by installing a kill switch that kills the fuel pump when ever wherever you park. It don’t get any simpler that that. You can also remove the fuse or the relay for the fuel pump or a fuse for the ignition.
some car manufactures in this case ford uses an active tag RFID keyfob to open and run cars. the signal can be cloned just like proxy cards when opening keyless door cards. the solution to this is check the technology behind the fobs before you buy the car, but in all car manufactures should have an on and off switch to the keys.
Stellanis, the manufacturer of Dodge know about the problem and won't figure a solution. The thieves want the high end RT, SRT, Daytona, Hellcat and Scat Pack models of the Charger, Challenger and Durango.
Maybe it's just me, but if I had a house with a garage I would park my car in the garage and make sure I had a special lock on the garage door. But, what do I know?🤪
I would not put your fob in a fridge. Repeatedly taking in and out will create condensation internally. Which would progressively destroy the key fob. Everyone with key fobs need to install a kill switch. Yeah you might not be able to autostart your car but it beats not getting your vehicle taken from you.
There are so many things you can do. Put a power switch hidden somewhere that turns off the main power coming from the battery. Usually they use them for semi trucks or camper homes.
@@joeshmoe562 It does seem like a bad idea to do that but unfortunately they've been stealing cars using software since before the cars were hooking up to internet. They pick up the frequency from the fob and clone it.

It don’t get any simpler that that. You can also remove the fuse or the relay for the fuel pump or a fuse for the ignition.
That has to be the dumbest sw design ever. System can just be reprogrammed by walking up? Who TF designed this?
Someone who doesn't know anything about cyber security. These aren't just cars anymore, these are rolling computers with an engine...
some car manufactures in this case ford uses an active tag RFID keyfob to open and run cars.
the signal can be cloned just like proxy cards when opening keyless door cards.
the solution to this is check the technology behind the fobs before you buy the car,
but in all car manufactures should have an on and off switch to the keys.
That's why I am in no hurry to buy new cars. I love my old cars. I don't mind putting key into the door and opening it
💯💯
Yes me to
Stellanis, the manufacturer of Dodge know about the problem and won't figure a solution. The thieves want the high end RT, SRT, Daytona, Hellcat and Scat Pack models of the Charger, Challenger and Durango.
Dodge did put out an update that prevents new keys from being programmed, but only for the higher end models like Scats and hellcat
Please don't give these criminals any ideas. Oh Lord.. sorry that happened to you and car.
Haha too late !! I love it !
@@lukecaey138 not funny! I'm pretty sure a lot of other thieves don't know about the app.
@@tjj6362 we do now 😉
@@lukecaey138 you might want to take this down
@@tjj6362 already downloaded that keyless app 😉
Maybe it's just me, but if I had a house with a garage I would park my car in the garage and make sure I had a special lock on the garage door. But, what do I know?🤪
I would not put your fob in a fridge. Repeatedly taking in and out will create condensation internally. Which would progressively destroy the key fob. Everyone with key fobs need to install a kill switch. Yeah you might not be able to autostart your car but it beats not getting your vehicle taken from you.
They followed that man
You can put a tracker on your car as well
Thanks for letting me know, now its easier to steal cars yay!!
Forget Uber, Ill just me me a new car.
There are so many things you can do. Put a power switch hidden somewhere that turns off the main power coming from the battery. Usually they use them for semi trucks or camper homes.
or maybe the cars just dont need to be on the internet lol
@@joeshmoe562 It does seem like a bad idea to do that but unfortunately they've been stealing cars using software since before the cars were hooking up to internet. They pick up the frequency from the fob and clone it.
That's exactly why I drive older cars you're going to have to physically break my lock to get my key to turn and my car to start by that time my German Shepherd's going to take a chunk out of you
You don't want to enjoy a new in car in fear of it being stolen? That is ridiculous 😒
That's why I own a car from the 50s and it's. A manual so I mean I don't have to lock it besides it's in pretty bad condition it runs nice and everything but it has some problem's I also have emergency battery disconnects just in case so everytime I get in I gotta connect them and the wires are hidden very well.
So he put all that money into his car but failed to put a tracker in it? Man even a 15$ air tag would do the job.
Failed to park it in a garage as well
They can take your car unlock your home remember people have security on these apps!!!!
Beautiful ☺ technology‼️
Install a killer switch in your vehicle.
The switch disconnects the starter from your battery and is hidden somewhere in your vehicle.
Damn that was a nice charger
Great idea put your car key in the refrigerator, why not just flush in the toilet. lol
Hahahahahaha..average person will never have their car stolen
He chased down the scat pack in the soccer mom mobile?!!
😆 🤣
Mans got fleeced for a nice ride . Damn .
& the current / future technology is just off the hook , fr .
Lol what happen to the old days of a hidden kill switch to kill the fuel pump
They get signal from key fob that’s why they have these fob cases that don’t allow them to get signal from ur fob
all u need is a faraday cage and wrap it around the thiefs face blocking his airway. tinfoil works too cause its sharp. form a tight seal
I fit RFID readers to my vehicles, engine is dead until it reads the RFID Tag in your pocket.
I bet he wish he had a club on. Lmao
I seen a tow truck driver do this before in front of my building
2:58 "electronic preve... pouch". He meant get a 'faraday bag'
Get an aftermarket alarm, if the alarm goes off the car will not start i have it on my dodge magnum and honda accord.
The said part is the app co. allows you to down load an app to steal a car, but you can't tell the truth on web sites, but you can learn how steal cars.
im "retired" now. (47 years old) BUT every car i ever stole & every house I broke into as a kid was locked and/or had security alarms. Even stole cars out of garages while they were home. If a thief wants ur stuff they take it. No security is going to help. My crew would rent a Uhaul and pull up to completely empty a house. Imagine coming home and all your valuables, couches, pictures, dishes etc are GONE. 🤔Nobody questions movers with Dickies and packing blankets. We also had access to a tow truck. Alarms? key FOB's? We'd take the WHOLE CAR, hook it right up. Stole 4-5 cars in one night back in 2000 right before i got caught did my time and changed my life. I got what i deserved but i took a lot of "secure" stuff along the way.
Take out the starter relay. Cover up your VIN number.
An honest black man bought a nigga car
lmao
Even these smart cars these days seem to be more susceptible to be stolen these days than the old ways of keys and cars
Buy a Faraday bag for your Key Fob for about $20 and keep your key fob in it till you are ready to drive. The folks that stole the car probably used a relay device of some kind they bought off the internet to do it with. Pookie or Ray-ray are not likely full on hackers and I'm surprised they knew about such tech and how to get it. Color me impressed.
Color you racist smdh.
In a bmw you have to stick the key fob in the dash to start it all cars should be this way
Did they stop making steering wheel locks ? 🤔 just asking for a friend.
Dead switch. Hidden toggle switch connected to the fuse for the ecu. I used to take that fuse out to ground my kids from their car. It'll crank tell the battery dies. Won't start though and you'll hear it cranking possibly
I bet you're just wanna kick technology in the ass.. They told us the Internet was the future but they didn't tell us how many problems it was gonna bring
Thing is how you do know this before owning a car like this the fact being known they are stolen frequently and still not taking precautions?? Like what? Like how?
Exactly how they stole my Challenger Scat pack
So what did you get to stay ahead of them? You can also take the fuse out for the fuel pump anytime you leave the car and pop it back in but that's just if you're feeling motivated and on top of your game I guess
Why take the time to develop all these ways to STEAL from people? Get a job. I hate it here.🙄
Crime is a job jus an illegal job.
Tesla solved it by asking to enter pin to start !
Where do you get this app????
Dem scatpacks and hellcats. Pretty much any hot cars, dis why I would keep ma cars in a garage, and not only that. But install a KILLSWITCH. Put a lock on steering wheel, and one fo da gas pedals. Dey got ones for em. Good luck yall, its nice to have dese nice cars, but don't let yo guard down kuz these thieves look at em as open season!!!
never keep keys by the front door, thieves can scan for your car keys signal too
They did this in the movie "gone is 60 seconds", this is not new lol. Just more accessible
Sorry that this happend to him. They need to take down that app
This is why I don’t park in the driveway. Just put it in the garage
The fridge trick doesn’t work because the thieves get the information from the keys when you actually use your car you’re not going to drive your car and leave the keys in the fridge
😃 AYY he said windah
wrap your key fob in Aluminum foil for short term use will work
Thank you I got my new charger I always wanted !
Just put a small tracking device
