That electric bill is very reasonable for the tropics. In the south in the USA you can run $700 or more per month in the summer with the a/c on. We knew people who paid that when we lived in Phoenix 20 yrs ago. Our bill 20 yrs ago in Phoenix in a new house was $450 per month in the heat of summer and we felt fortunate. You might not be used to living in a hot climate is all. The bonus is that your bills in the winter are much lower. Up north in the USA you'll see the reverse. Summer is less expensive and winter can be very expensive with electricity and heating oil. Great info though and nice house!
I hope your videos get 100% better, you ramble on way too much before getting to the point. You definitely talk in circles. Good luck with your channel sir. If you get offended by a little criticism then content creation will not be for you. I truly hope you succeed.
Depends where you look in Rawai, longer term, pay in advance cheaper, some allow subletting which is where the rip off is ! House is obviously not efficient. Why are you not paying PEA rate ? Water is cheap as ! House needs solar panels. Sold a dream, its still far cheaper than living the same life style anywhere in the western world
I live/work here in thailand last 13 years in the jewellery industry in chanthaburi, I rent a new 4 bedroom house for 5000 baht a month water is free and electric is cheap , 10 mins from the beaches , food is cheap etc , £800 month you are getting ripped off simply facts and other farang living in Phuket etc are also getting completely ripped off to ..
That’s great for you, it seems like it’s all worked out, super happy for you guys, unfortunately you are right the prices are really hiking up & specially in Phuket, we was going to look to stay there but was just to expensive, we were happy to pay this price but around this way you are looking around 50k baht for a place like ours, give or take.
Electric in Thailand is around 4.2 baht per unit. It is illegal to charge in excess of that if the owner has 5 or more rentals. Even if he does not the charge is very high
@@ConorNicolle I have been here 15 years its a very easy country to live in. I have 3 rentals (condos) in Bangkok. Your electric charge is way too high.
Very cheap living. We spend that much living in the NE Thailand but own the house, car and scooter. Check with PEA whether you can get off peak power and run your pool during that time only. My father in law has it here for charging his EV. Just subbed and good luck 👍
I can’t believe how calm you sounded when you said “ we’ve got a huntsman spider living there “ 😮…. I’d be paying the gardener some extra Baht to find it a new home.
believe it or not, i only found out when i went to check how much water i had in the tank & it come climbling over my shoulder 😂 It put shiever down my spine
Generally speaking, digital nomads and freelancers will have to pay tax on foreign-sourced income, unless it's covered under a DTA or you've already paid tax on it in your home country. This applies even for nomads granted a visa through the Privilege program (assuming you stay in Thailand for more than 180 days), it can be up to 35% as a high income pay bracket but i would look deeper & seek the right help before clicking on the first google search. happy to help.
@@ConorNicolle you are correct on this one. Nobody even the tax office is sure about the tax rules yet. To many people have no understanding of what will happen.
Actually I think your dream has worked out. 3 bedroom house with a pool in Canada is about 4k not sure what would that would be going for in the UK. Electric would be the same or more Plus a car and all its costs.... Your living that dream
Hope you are well Mikk, i’d say UK is about 2.5-3k rental for a 3 bed with a pool if you could find a pool, rains half of the time 😂 Mikk if we are completely honesty, we have turned are dream into reality. take care
Hey legends. It’s been a while. 12 months. Wow. Great video guys. Keep going 🤩 🎉

Why dont you buy a motorcycle ? 40,000 -60,000 baht comes with 3 year warranty. Service costs over 3 years less than 3000 baht.
How are you? we wasn’t sure how long we would stay here for but next year i have my eye on a motorbike that i want for around £600

Hi Stevie, We have family that pop over time to time.
If you only run the pool for a couple of hours a day it will save you money. Don’t listen to the landlord saying it needs to be on all the time
I will look into this, Thank you 👍🏻
