I’ve been a fan of Adolis since first seeing him in 2021. He’s always been fun to watch, and very gracious, but man… I’m so glad that he “played the villain role to perfection” in this one. He embraced this moment! Him taunting Maldonado after the first home run and then the crowd after the second home run was just so badass! As a Rangers fan, I’m used to being on the other side of it. Lol! Thank you for the nice video!
As a former college player, I would have cringed to have one of my teammates getting to the point of pimping it on a ball off the wall like that. The only reasons he was not blown up by criticism was #1 it was the Astros and #2 he was on fire at the most critical time. He needs to be humbled or else it seems like he could be on track to becoming one of the most unliked players in the league, once his right place, right time, right opponent moment wears off.
@@Tiger1016.people don’t like him because he is good. Same with ohtani and judge, and when you are as good as him, you can pump it like that because that ball was gone in probably 25 of 30 parks
@Bruhjackie Speak for yourself. I like Judge and Ohtani, and so does the vast majority. Also, I didn't care for the way Bonds' or Arod's carried themselves, but I respected the hell out of them, which is less common. Adolis is not even close to the same level and achievements as these others. He is merely in the conversation of good players that are better than most, but at a ~.250 avg that is geing a bit generous. He had a brief moment of greatness getting hot on a big stage last season, but the issue was he acted like a Johhny Manzell type at the same time. Pimping HRs, like he does too often, as well as balls off the wall in high stakes situations, shows how much of a primadonna he is. My bet is he'll wind up suffering a similar fate as we have seen with OBJ, Manzell, etc. once the irrational exuberance wears off and it's no longer trendy to support someone that acts so toxic.
That’s just incredible hitting to not slice that foul. The pitcher was in a tough spot with that short porch in left and his ability to hit above the zone.
Complete DOMINATION by one man over an entire pitching staff. It was beautiful in and of itself BUT with all the S talking Astro fans made it even sweeter.
Not even close. This was his only series against the Astros ever. And it went to 7 games so the Astros kept it close anyway. If Adolis is the Astros’s “daddy” that means that he has played multiple playoff series’ against us and won. He has not done that. Like Altuve could be named the Yankees’ daddy since he has played many series’ against them and won.

Only thing I wish with the ump cam is if there was someway to track the ball with like an AR “stat cam” showing launch angle, speed , velocity , and other cool things . I can never track where the ball goes .
I agree with that. It's hard to track which is why I like to slow it way down so we can watch the ball fly out. If they could increase the resolution of the ump cam that would help. I like the StatCam idea!...next time I make one of these I'll see if I can include some StatCast details.
Fox also has it really going on when it comes to sound. Their crowd noise is superior to all other broadcasters. If you have a surround sound system, you can really hear it.
@@JPITTYBASEBALLI usually set my Onkyos (living room and media room) to "All Channel Stereo" for sports broadcasts. It's the best for providing the "you're at the stadium" type sound. The crowd noise encoded into the Fox broadcasts still shines through. Pro Tip. Buy at least one subwoofer if you haven't already. It makes a HUGE difference. I recently added a subwoofer to my living room and it made all the difference in the world. I have two subwoofers upstairs in my media room and I can shake the room.

Was expecting to see a series of Umps throwing players out of games. Seems to have been a significant amount of that going on the past number of months.

Can't stand to see a player so full of himself that he hit sit off the wall and winds up at first because he spent so much time admiring his (almost) "big fly." I saw Barry Bonds do that during his heyday. If I'd been his manger, I would've benched him.
If it's high school or below, bench him for sure. But if you bench Adolis in the ALCS you're going to lose your job as a MLB manager. But I agree, it's a bad look to watch a ball hit off the wall when you should be standing as 2nd.
A guy can throw at a batter but a batter can’t celebrate after crushing said guy? Baseball has changed old timer. IMO high schools and college teams should let the old ways die too. Emotions are high when you care. Why walk on egg shells when in a moment you’ve waited your whole life for?
@@Poindexterous Pitchers don’t often get by with throwing at a batter. It usually gets them a warning and sometimes a quick ejection. And yeah I know players are competitive and emotions run high. Regardless, though, a player looks foolish standing on first simply because he stood and watched his fly ball hit the wall. Also seems to me that sportsmanship should still be a thing.
@@ka-pop2243 sportsmanship can still exist while also giving baseball a swagger that every sport has had for decades. Baseball has only just started changing. Beating the CHEATING ASStros is always satisfying. Ask the Dodgers and Yankees. They were cheated out of titles and MVPs by the trash can mini-mes. Baseball itself was lessened by the slap on the wrist by the "Sorry NOT sorry" from ASStro players and especially the OWNER. Then on top of that, the MLB Commissioner, in effect, gives them a wink and a nod. Shame on the teams that signed the EX-ASStros' players and managers. seriously. Adolis was on fire as he showed in Game 1 of World Series. I wanted more!
