    The quality of the lectures are awesome. But please normalize the audio of the videos before posting. Sometimes sir's "and" is so loud and the other things he says so soft. Plus the starting music is too loud.

    how did we get equation of the discriminant function for case 1 8:40

      it's actually the same eqn that he derives later on. just instead of expanding (x-u)^t (x-u) as what he did, just realise it's a dot-product and expand it as such. Then ignore the quantities that are not a function of the class. That's it, you should get this easily.
