Stock Kawi 12R is obviously not for track usage, too powerful and heavy for that. But I wonder whether a more experienced driver could keep up with the Porsches...
Pretty cool.. a mk2 Focus RS at the beginning, recently sold my UG RS.. And I have an A2 ZX12R with 4900 miles in my collection.. Awesome bike! Nice job 👌🏼
the track is better with sports tires. sports tura tires are a bit problematic. I had a cbr 1100 xx with piralli angel gt 2 tires. I drove it in competition mode in the mountains and after 15 minutes the tires warmed up and slipped like hell. Good ride.
This looks like fun. I'd like to do it in my truck with my 3 brothers at 25 mph with a cooler full of beer. I'd like to even bring my dog. No wives allowed......25 mph on this track would just be too dangerous for our wives. The four of them could go shopping together or something. At the end of the day my brothers and I would smell like beer, our wives would smell like gift shop potpourri, and my dog would need a walk.
Because of the huge torque of the bike, its already fast enough on a track that I barely know. If you ever driven on the Nordschleife then you know there are many blind corners.
Nice ride! What is your suspension setup? What fork cartridges do you have in the forks, or are those forks from Ohlins? What rear shock do you run? I'm updating my 2000 ZX12R with a Maxton Suspension SD25 F3 fork cartridge kit and for rear shock I'll probably go with a Wilbers 693 shock.. Cheers!
Thx. Stock suspension. Did it last year to a suspension specialist and asked for upgrades(wilbers). When I get it back, he didnt put wilbers on it. Instead he refurbished them and put Ohlins oil and seals on them and adjusted the suspension. Got 7 seconds quicker on the track! So for now, its good! :-)

But once I started looking into cost and what I wan't to accomplish as a rider and with my bike, I thought -Well if I'm gonna do this, I might as well go in all the way. The price difference was not that big. Take care an keep on riding!!!

That was a Sunday ride that screen is crap ...distorts vision on the leans😮

What camera and mount do you use?
Back then, it was a simple MEDION camera. Mounted the camera on a piece of wood(about 4cm high) and put it on the tank with doublesided tape
