  • Here's an interview Stanley did with Scott Loftus from WVVX, 2 parts. It was to promote the upcoming Thristy Whale show and to let folks know the band was auditioning new drummers as Brian was let go due to "musical differences". In this second half Stanley does a live performance of "Rise Above" form his living room in Oak Park IL. He also gives out his phone # and asks local drummers to contact him for auditions. Don't bother calling the number, its over 17 years old and he's no longer reached at it. Special thanks to Jon Schultz for these excellent contributions !

There will NEVER be another Stanley. LSD= the most criminally underrated band of the ‘90’s. Miss the F out of u guys.

I was at those shows at the Whale. I remember buying travel size soaps and when Stanley came out into the crowd sticking the soaps in his pockets.

I LOOVE this! So incredible. Awwaa!! Thank you Stann. Wonderful. No other artist has ever done anything like this. So expressive. Garwrshh.. We are so lucky to get a glimpse. No gimmicks. And thanks to the radio host/show/station for allowing time for this expression to be given. This is so rich and pure. What a great gift. To @LIFESEXDEATH admin THANK YOU BIG TIME! I'm flabbergasted. This is better than any treasures. I could rave on. ;-) Thank you.

They had a gimmick. It just wasn't a good gimmick. But I WILL say that that song sounds pretty great over the phone. Like an old Edison cylinder recording.
