Ren not only didn't shield, he led the enderman right into his base and onto his soulmate, who panicked, fell off the ladder, and increased their cumulative health loss at the crucial moment so that they both died. But it was all Pearl's fault for standing near an enderman!
No plan survives first contact with the enemy is in play here. Just like Etho and Joel in episode one when the boat method got undone, he panicked and forgot his shield. Plus, his mind was split among: Warning BigB, trying to defend against the Enderman, and reeling from the fact that Pearl just buzzed off with Squirrel.
Watched impulse's, G's, and Etho's view of the ancient city. Impulse only saw the two wardens, so seeing the others I was surprised maybe three more got spawned.
Ren I just wanted to say I LOVE the way you add storytelling to these series. "Something wicked within you"??? That's a fuel for fanartists and writers and it's AWESOME I love roleplays, it's so cool you're so cool!!
