- This was a private lesson one day before the concert, it was in the studio of a good friend "Oz Recording Studio" in Mexico City. I also want to thank my good friend Luis Ramirez Pinzón, thank you for everything!
I've been waiting to see him play that for years. Now I can rest in peace.
I've noticed that rusty are not good at playing slow, he's a speed demon.
I like watching this type of Organic playing meaning unprocessed and it shows us that yes even Rusty Cooley an incredible and legendary shredder is actually human !!! Metal Will Never Die !!! \m/

I know I’m 8 years late but you should totally check out Stephen Taranto and Yo Onityan if you aren’t familiar with them, they frequently post unplugged/camera audio stuff and their playing is so clean it literally sounds like a guitar pro track

@@dedik8SKB Of course dude! Plenty more absolute monsters have surfaced since then. Someone I think we all need to pay more attention to is Spiro Dussias, I seriously think he's the most technically capable guitarist on the planet right now.

I tried to make a tab of this back in about 2003 using power tab, I got the notes perfect, but had no idea about the positioning, was probably way off,
I literally haven't been this gob smacked since I first started playing guitar and saw Michael Angelo's double neck videos.

That tone is so terrible, makes me cringe a bit and hinders his playing.
Mr Cooley exemplifies the metronome obsessed, technique obsessed, speed obsessed, guitarist who has forgotten that it is a musical instrument. He thinks that it is a piece of gym equipment. Very poor musical imagination/creativity.

You remind me of every jealous guitarist stuck in a loop of “a song must contain three sections, each made up of two riffs and a solo section containing 40 or less notes.”. Beethoven would recruit Rusty and shame Jimmy Hendrix and Van Halen for lacking creativity and talent. Get back to your “music”.
@@joshuawarren3418 Many would argue that Beethoven is the guy that actually invented rock. With the most interesting story being after he premiered the 9th Symphony (already with profound hearing loss), he had to be turned so he could see the tumultuous applause of the audience as he couldn't hear it or the orchestra playing with him.
