@dontatmebro- which is a shame because he does make top-tier vacuum content that will make your vacuum shopping easier. I bought a zero m. Been using a Dyson Cinetic Big Ball. I honestly like the shark better. The Dyson does pick up more overall from my experience (on rugs), but the Shark has the brush roll advantage and I haven't had any hair tangle with it. Dyson is terrible with hair wrapping around the bar. I also like how it's lighter and easier to maneuver.
This is an excellent vacuum. However, what I didn't like is that the handle doesn't go straight while vacuuming and you have to work hard to maneuver it in a straight direction.
I think the biggest upgrade for shark here is the fact that the brushes on the roll are continuous. On most cheap vacs there are gaps and in those gaps are typically where dirt is left behind and carpets not being groomed.
It would have helped if you had zoomed in when talking about the brushes in the beginning and how the Zero M prevents hair from collecting around the roller. Other than that, a well thought out review. Thanks.
i have the Shark Apex Zero-M AZ1000 and i loved it. However, i picked up a little dime by mistake and it threw the belt through the plastic on the side! Nowhere can I find a way to get into the side of the vacuum to put the belt back. So frustrated! I really hate the idea of spending $330.00 for a vacuum that last no longer than a year! Help!
How long have you had it? Did you buy it new? If so, it sounds like it may be a warranty issue? Might be worth contacting Shark and asking what they can do for you. A little dime shouldn't destroy the machine like that, in my opinion, and the manufacturer should know about it.
After looking at dozens of sources and finally this video we were very interested in the AZ1002, however the power attachments have been dropped. Does this reflect problems with the attachments? What model has lift off, zero m, and power attachments?
a lot of people seem to not realize that you can just take the main pod off and just leave the wand attached to the head and use it like a stick vacuum
We've seen manufacturers do this from time to time. Not sure they would do anything for you in this case - unless perhaps you could show that the store you bought it from (online or otherwise) was advertising it (at that time) with a different tool set than you received.
Hello from 🇺🇸Harrisburg Pennsylvania 🇺🇸 I my a DYSON DC15 & Kirby 3 generation vacuum cleaner both of my vacuum cleaners still works like brand new never losing suction My question 🙋🏾♂️ is how much more Powerful is this Shark APEX Upright Vacuum with DuoClean for Carpet and HardFloor Cleaning, Zero-M or Not 🤷🏾♂️ I have Never had a Problem with my spouse long blonde hair in my 2 old vacuum ,My question is why should I buy this new Shark APEX Upright Vacuum with DuoClean for Carpet and HardFloor Cleaning, Zero-M ? ? ? 🤷🏾♂️ 🤷🏾♂️
Indeed I was wondering that myself, thinking if I order the cover that has the rubber head and the different brush roll, you can convert an older Apex into a Zero M styled variant.
Can you use it to clean your cars easily too ? Will the hose disconnect from the handle to use end of hose only to clean car floors ? I know Dyson multi floor 2 will.
Walt Van Court yes you can there’s like 4 or 5 different ways to change the vacuum style from short hose to long hose to regular vacuum to stand alone vacuum with vacuum tank in hand . I personally use this for when my car needs a deep cleaning, it has excellent suction and pickup
I want to love mine, but not really. It’s like wrestling an alligator as far a maneuvering. Kind of clunky and heavy. The wand is clumsy and the hose tight, so it falls over all the time. There’s so much suction it’s ripped curtains off rods and tablecloth and bedskirt edges get suctioned dangerously fast. But the hair removal is excellent and bar far the best feature.
Love my shark! One thing different is the motorized pet tool is designed differently with a transparent cover where you can see the mini motor and belt that drove the brush and it has a different shape. Maybe it’s an upgrade? Update- My mistake, it is the power pet tool that’s included and not the mini motorized pet tool which I had to order from shark separately.
I thought it came with the motorized one too lol I guess I'm going to have to order it separately....I guess Shark wants us to spend more money smh lol
Laura Almanzar the same, but az1002 contains more attachments and free steam mop. You also get the lifetime warranty. Only available directly from Shark.
U didn't show the powered lift away. That's my favorite part of this vacuum. The motor comes off and u can flatten the head and arm flat for under beds or furniture.... I didn't see u ever show that. And the powered lift away is why this vacuum price point is much higher then sharks without powered lift away! Confused why u wouldn't show the main feature of this vacuum. I have purchased and used 6 different sharks, two with powered lift away, and the rest are regular, and duo cleans, but the best part of this vacuum is the powered lift away! U just unclick the canister with the main button on it and then your roller head/duo clean head continues working and goes completely flat to get under lots of furniture! Confused why u wouldn't talk about that main, very pricey feature of this vacuum. I got this vacuum a month ago specially because the powered lift away. My first powered lift away didn't have the duo clean or zero m tech, but it was my favorite of my sharks because the powered lift away feature. I can complete flatten the vacuum without the dust canister and vacuum under all the beds and alof of other tight fit furniture. This video made me sad you didn't highlight that main point of this vacuum!
Great content, but I think you reaaaally need to work on the audio while testing the vacuums. Your voice is pretty low and whispery (which is not bad) and that makes us turn up the volume and then suddenly you turn on the vacuums... Man, my ears are almost bleeding right now.
This guy + Bob Ross (PBS painting guy) = serenity and warm/fuzzy, or snoozefest depending on your view.
OK, let’s just be honest. The only reason why we listen to them is because we don’t want to admit that we like ASMR.

This man has undoubtedly the cleanest carpet on the face of planet earth. 👏🏽
Cliff Cliffordson not with shoes on the carpet
Not if he is using sharks.
The lights on the shark are excellent . The one in the top handle is more handy than you might would think . I love it .
2:08 "So what do you get when you buy your Shark Apex, model AZ1002 .... Well of course you get the vacuum cleaner. o_O"
We won't ask about the long, black human hair. We'll just assume she's safe.
Narq 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Why are you assuming they are a she?
@@BudFuddlacker Because women generally have longer hair. Were you being facetious?

I could listen to this guy talk about roof shingles and I would be happy....
The Mr. Rogers of vacuums
Yes..he has a pleasant voice to listen too...its soothing & quite relaxing..hes a natural..oh..the vacuum is pretty pleasant too.🌞
I know such soothing voice ! Perfect for videos & reviews
I agree. And no annoying music.

No it’s not.

Good review! Did you know that the handle clicks directly into the motor head too? There's no need for the wand! Just letting you know.
Whats the difference between the APEX AZ1000 and APEX AZ 1002?
It would have helped if you had zoomed in when talking about the brushes in the beginning and how the Zero M prevents hair from collecting around the roller. Other than that, a well thought out review. Thanks.

Would have been nice if you had shown how to clean the filters
Is this the best vacuum cleaner for hardwood floor, or are there better vacuum cleaners out there for hardwood?
Thank you. Very helpful

You can order the motorized pet tool on the shark.com website for 59.00
Watched 3 videos on thia vacuum. None of them show how to empty it and if its easy...
Do a search for this vacuum cleaner's name or code and add the words "dust cup." I was able to find a couple of videos on that.
a lot of people seem to not realize that you can just take the main pod off and just leave the wand attached to the head and use it like a stick vacuum
Good review
I love your thorough reviews!
My apex zero m did not come with some of ur tools , in very sad 😢
Someone else just wrote the same thing on our website.
You think I should contact shark about it ?

Vito’s Aquatics id look in the owners manual I just bought mine and mine came with 2 tools as stated in the manual
Just bought this vacuum. Is it normal for the motor to sound so loud and whiney on carpet mode?
It’s a cheap motor

Can the zero M be added to the older Apex?

Yes, check out Just Vlad channel. This video: ua-cam.com/video/E-8VCgCEc9k/v-deo.html

Hi Walt. The hose will not disconnect from the handle on the APEX.
@@VacuumAdvisor thanks
I have to go back and look again and see if I can make it work for my cars too.
Walt Van Court yes you can there’s like 4 or 5 different ways to change the vacuum style from short hose to long hose to regular vacuum to stand alone vacuum with vacuum tank in hand . I personally use this for when my car needs a deep cleaning, it has excellent suction and pickup
Why is my brush roll not spinning
Bad motor, limiter switch, or belt. But the switch is a common failure point.

Just bought the zero M technology and it does not work. I vacuum three time in the first two days and I had to cut off the hair two times.

does anybody here know if this az1002, is the same as the az1000w..? TIA:)

THis is the exact question i'm asking, did you ever find out? thanks!
Get it all in one video instead of multiple videos
My cons: difficult to pull vacuum backwards, tools do not stay on board, would love retractable cord!
👍👍👍👍👍

The area vacuumed should be gone over twice at the most. Irl, nobody has time to vacuum one section 4 times.
I absolutely HATE the sound that vacuum makes -- that reason alone would prevent me from buying it
That sound sucks.
Doesn't sound anything like that in real life. Just bought one. Its gotta be his mic.
@@Buzz_329 yeah it is
Don't buy, This is a terrible vacuum. Read the negatives. 👎👎👎👎👎

This guys nickname is Xanax. Snooze.
why do you keep saying "zed?!" it's annoying and it's not even the correct word to use in the phonetic alphabet... that word would be "zulu."
It's French for "Z" and works just as well as "zulu".
