    Before you stop vacuuming you have to let it run for a couple of seconds

      This. Let it sit for a few seconds and it'll clear that brush out ♡

      That is true I didn’t know it was self clean but I was testing that one and other vacuum and I checked the bottom and have a lot of my hair the first time I checked and next day I used it to tested in all the house when I was done I was gonna clean the bottom and I was like where is my hair that was here yesterday? Is all clean I was so sorprice , it’s good because I have a cat and now 4 bunnies and I have to vacuum either every day or every other day and the regular vacuums get the hair on the brush a lot worst

    Use a seam ripper to remove hair from a roller, not a scissor!
    Best real test of a vacuum I've ever watched.

    Nothing better than having a pet do a pet vac review. LOL Your little black and white fur baby was watching ever so carefully everything you did. I couldn't help but get a good laugh as they reminded me of a foreperson looking over your shoulder as you work! : )

    The trick to Zero M Self Cleaning Brush roll is to move the power head back and forth as you're vacuuming to give the machine time to clean itself. Your technique was pushing forward and back then on to more hair is sucking up the hair but not enough movement to allow machine to clean the brush...so it will tend to bunch up. Try multiple passes back and forth, not just short jerky forward movements only.

    All vacuums work great when they are new. Post back in 7 years and see how things are. I have an Animal Dyson and after 7 years it won't the pick up is terrible and I have cleaned out the whole thing. They don't make anything like they used to. Great video very informative.

    Purchased this from Costco 6 months ago and I loved it, till one day the brush head stopped spinning. I cleaned it regularly just as instructed, I followed troubleshooting from their site. I called their customer service and did troubleshooting with them, still didn't work. They told me that part of the vacuum was not covered by the warranty even though that wasn't specified in the user guide. They told me that it was in the manual, however the manual isn't included in the box. Told me they can give me a discount on the replacement (the whole bottom part of the vacuum that holds the brushes) I will be returning it for a refund and am sad as I loved the way it works, but am not sure if it is worth the risk of getting another one

      I hope you got a replacement from Costco? I wrote the following comment 'n then checked to see how old video was + noticed was a year ago. Am still going to print it hoping it helps others? And again, hope you got it resolved?
      I bet Costco WILL replace it if only 6mos old? Last year I bought a 2 pack of Philip's Diamond Series Sonic Toothbrushes and asked the rep if I could PURCHASE a PROTECTION PLAN, as I do with ALL electronics? Too many become duds or perform poorly.
      She said "Costco doesn't have them but that they REPLACE ANYTHING that goes defective, no matter HOW LONG you've had it!"
      Not quite sure I believe that entirely? But do believe that after ONLY 6 months they most certainly + probably WILL? Much luck as you deserve to have an expensive working product longer than a measly 6 months!

      After using this for a month now, we REALLY like this vacuum, it has tons of power and 1/2 the price of a Dyson. I would buy it again, especially at the Costco sale price we paid for it.

    it is now end of October 2021 and I just recently got the APEX AZ1002 Vacuum and works great. Fortunately I dont have any pets or people with long hair in my house, but this APEX does a great job with picking up allot of dust in my house. My past older vacuums had to use bags(cant find bags anymore) with them and wanted to get a newer bagless vacuum. I also looked at the newer VERTEX vacuum but felt it had too much suction power for me and did not like the blueish LED lights on the vacuum.
    All in all I really like the APEX AZ1002 Vacuum for cleaning my house. I do wish they had more useful accessories for these vacuums. There is an accessories pack for Sharks vacuums(dont list the AZ1000) but some say they work and some say they dont work well or at all(hesitant to getting it costs 80 dollars). My APEX did not come with a nice brush attachment, just some motorized pet accessory which I dont have pets, so really not necessary for me. take care.

      We have the Shark Apex with Duo clean plus self-cleaning brush roll and it's the same thing with that one. You have to turn it to carpet mode and let it run for a few seconds and the hair will disappear from the brush roll.

  • @janjones4772
    @janjones4772 4 роки тому

    I just bought one, it really did pretty good, y’all had a lot of hair to pick up, was that more than one days worth?
    I think it will do better once you get the bulk up. I was reading the book that comes with it, and it was saying it may have hair around the rollers. I had hair around mine too, I don’t have any pets at this time, lost mine last
    Year,so I’m thinking my old vac wasn’t all that great. Try it for another week see what happens, it seems to have
    A great suction. But it doesn’t have a thing for height of carpet, so it makes it harder to push, I need something
    Lighter, I’m disabled and older, can’t decide , should I send it back or give it to one of the kids. But I really think
    You’ll be happy with it, shouldn’t have that much hair, if used regularly . I really like it if it would raise higher. I
    Don’t have thick carpet either, I wish I had wood floors like y’all have.Good luck with your choice. You have some
    Beautiful babies, they are precious . 👍👍💕😃😃🎃🎃🎃

    Considering the insane amount of hair this had to suck up I don't think the amount of hair you had to pull off the brush was all that bad. We have a Kirby and the brush ALWAYS has to be cleaned of hair with a razor blade. We don't have this much hair lying around so I'm sure most people would be satisfied with it. Great torture test!

    I have a Shark Navigator ZU62. I've never had to clean the rollers (three girls and two dogs). Hardwood floors throughout, vacuum every day. Things I don't like - only 25' cord, it tips over when using the hose after about 5' (unlike the 12' some videos claim). But I will still recommend a Shark over Dyson (previous Dyson user).

  • @BoogieDownProduction
    @BoogieDownProduction 4 роки тому

    Get the shark vertix, it has an even better brush head against tangled hair. You have to run it awhile for the hair to get untangled, and if you go over the hair slower it will be less likely to get caught on the brush head. Still your test was very hair heavy and another vacuum would have done way worse.

    We also have a V8 animal and I'm about to buy this from Costco too. AND have 3 hairy doggos like you. That little tool/brush you said you don't use on your Dyson either is for your couch cushions, chairs, barstools etc. It works great so try it! Even works on the bathtub we don't use which somehow also gets dog hair in it. Cheers!

    My Mom ordered me one off of QVC. I have had other Shark vacuum’s my last 2 had the ball bearings heat up and the gears lock and it had an electrical fire in the unit. This Duo Clean model is quiet. Bu t the suction is not strong.... and I am really not happy with it. I have no pets and the self cleaning roller really does not work like they claim. I have had the days animal uprise in the past, that too did not last that long. Vacuums are too expensive and they are not made very strong or reliable anymore. Thank you for your video you have the cutest pets.
