She lied about everything. The guy she was with wanted to break up with her so she accused him of r*pe and manipulated the blonde detective (Rollins) to get on her side. Turns out she was sleeping with the same guy the detective was sleeping with as well.
She wasn’t lying. But the big plot of the episode is the bar owner sponsor boyfriend Nate. Turns out he ends up having to testify and everyone in court finds out he was cheating on Amanda with Lena and uses the AA and GA meetings to woo and pick up vulnerable women . Basically the episode is way more about her and her relationship with the team and her addiction and mental state. We don’t get to 100% know if the murder was really planned or and accident, but at least the main characters think it was a bullshit conviction that gave her too much credit. And Amanda relapses.
@@ShyKnitter92 Honestly, I feel like pretty much 100% of men don’t become super violent and aggressive right after they ‘arrive’. They become complacent, let their guard down, become sleepy, the perfect time for her to push him. She just seemed like she lied often and when caught, just came up with something else.
I think the episode in question is titled "Doubt". It was from season six. It was a " he said, she said" episode and the audience was supposed to vote who was telling the truth after the episode ended.
@@MMAavatar123 When the original post recalled a similar episode I was thinking similar meant being thrown off the roof bc there have been several of those episodes. I remember the "Doubt" episode, but there was no voting. Law & Order: SVU ends at 11pm. Who's staying up for those results or checking the next day? The "Doubt" episode was a good one bc that was one of those rare occasions where we don't see them get a court verdict. It left the audience hanging. I thgt the girl was the guilty party in both episodes.
Public prosecutors and their teams have limited resources at their disposal. They have to justify every decision in a cost-benefit analysis when their budgets are scrutinized because some public official wants to be a hero by slashing the funding to promote themselves as fiscally responsible. Public prosecutors will go for the more assured victory, or what is pressed on them by people of authority/influence and/or public outrage. The easy wins get them their budgets. They're about keeping their job, doing their job, and nothing about actual Justice
I don’t even have to watch this episode to know she was bullshitting. really? calling the one person who you were told never to call and he’s dead outside your building? so obviously guiltt
Tutuola: Melinda, English? 🤔
Melinda: “He came, and then he went.” 😏
I died laughing.....the writer's room be trippin'
that was dialogue straight out of Sanford and Son. Shout out to Smitty and Hoppi
"Spell it out for the slow people in the audience, Melinda"
This woman was so crazy I knew she was lying when there were holes in her story everybody was skeptical but Amanda
Amanda is a liability to SVU, her unauthorized undercover job ruined a high profile case
"Melinda, English?" Everything she said was pretty straightforward not sure why he needed clarification
He wanted Melinda to spell it out. So would I. Melinda is hawt.
He came...and then he went
"He came and then he went." The way that made me cackle!!! Whoever wrote this dialogue was unhinged!!!
This chick sounds like she was lying the entire time. What happened?
She got convicted of murder

@@yucol5661wow, that was a really concise episode description:)

They told her not to call
And they told him not to answer
Love Olivia’s haircut
Once someone lies once, their credibility is shot. Lying twice? Three times? No, she's a murderer lol.
Huh, i couldve sworn they had an episode really close to this back in like season 12 or something, i dont remember 😂

So much for SVU protecting victims
Both these sisters are crazy.
So...back to regular L&O clips or nah
ummm that lady is a total liar she’s a rap* victim yet she ended said man’s LIFE but… who’s the guy that Amanda slept with?? please n thank you
Her AA sponsor
@@TheKrispyfort thanks
Hey now, don’t pin this on a genre of music! Rap might be bad, but it doesn’t necessarily drive people to murder!
Amanda a truu blonde 😂😂😂😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Even if the culprit is a woman the show potrays her as the innocent victim of circumstances. What a hypocrisy
So they blame the victim. After they let him walk for raping her cause he looked better.
Meh, there’s definitely a bit of that. But honestly, the episode was more about Amanda’s issues than this crime.
The more they investigated, the more it seemed she was less and less the victim she claimed to be. The lying was just the start.
And he is J.....
