Great content Joe, good to see what can be done with the right expertise and tools ! Looking forward to your static compression measurements with the stroker parts in this block.
Nice old Storm Vulcan still putting in precision work. I've spent countless hours setting up, shimming, and straightening blocks on one of those, the Sunnen Line Bore and Hone too.
P. S., Thank you for helping JMJ, Mr. Seeman, I will have to say that it is great to have people to help a guy correctly and know that he has a great piece of equipment coming together. Great evening to you all great job and good luck.
I will cover that in the assembly video. 440 source gives really nice instructions with their kits. The pistons are icons. If I remember correctly, they say .006 for street engines and it goes up from there. I will show their literature when it comes to that video.
I have a good feeling of how lucky people are today to have all these pretty beeping gadgets, I am getting to the point that I don't know if I could compete anymore. 😔 Great evening to you all.
This is a .040 512 kit. Larger kits require oiling system mods that price out for my customer. This engine is going in an 80’s d100 race truck. It will have impressive torque and love most it’s life below 6,000 rpm.
Rick is a good man.
Does nice work.
Thanks for sharing the process.
Thanks Ed. It was a busy day. Thanks for the support.
Somebody is going to have a well prepped block !!!!
Thanks Tim! Excited to get started

Coming soon! Thanks for the support. I got this one washed and brushed out Monday. Ready to assemble.
It's looking good my friend. That's some hi tech instruments he's got there. I know this will be a beast of an engine. Great video!
Thank you! He drastically improved this block and build.

Thanks for sharing. It’s definitely a user oriented machine. They all are. It’s always interesting for me to learn in the process.
I wish there was a shop around here that could do work like that . Great job ! Mr. Seeman is cool !
Thanks Tom. I appreciate Rick’s work and help .
Same here in Michigan. They are closing up left and right.
Jesus! That is a good looking operation.
Absolutely!

Thanks John. Mr. Rick knows his stuff 👍🏼
Looking good Joe !
Thanks brother! Mr. Rick is a master on his machines.
Great content Joe, gonna be a nice build
Thanks brother. Mr. Rick knows his equipment.
We are seeing high tech engine building . By a very competent high tech Arkansan !
Yes sir! Thanks Terry! 🫡
Pretty wild machine, looks like it works excellent, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Thanks Donald! I’ve a good one!
This was a fascinating video Joe. Loved every bit of it. Thanks for sharing this special work.
More engine fun😊
Definitely! Thanks Shane. Should be a beast
Nice work 😎
Thank you! Cheers!
Good Job Guys. Had my little 302 on that machine once.
Thanks Mr.Buddy! Let’s go racing this year
Nice work 👍🏻💯🇦🇺
Thank you! Cheers!
Good stuff. Always love seeing machine work & how it’s done.
You and me both! Mr. Rick used to work for Keith Black, in the block machining department.
It should be a beast. I like this playlist thing where you can watch the whole build.
Excellent! Thanks for the help!
Im a little shocked at those stats myself. Thats a factory 440 block for sure? Beautiful!
Yes sir. It has T440 on the pad, 77 model block
Wow did you 👞 horn that 400 into your and make those B-Body headers fit? I didn't know you were building a 440 block. Wow!
Thanks Chris! The 440/508 is for a friend. I prefer the low decks. More to come for sure 👍🏼
Hey Joe, is that a factory block, or an aftermarket block. I noticed an oil passage in the valley that I've not seen before.
The 440 is a stock 77 truck block
@@JustMoparJoe ok thanks, I'm hoping to build a 500"engine in the near future. I have a '69 virgin block.
Roughness measurement of cylinder walls? Thats pro Stock and competition eliminator stuff. Good job
I’m certain that we drastically improved this block. Thanks for watching.
What is the recommended piston to wall clearance?
I will cover that in the assembly video. 440 source gives really nice instructions with their kits. The pistons are icons. If I remember correctly, they say .006 for street engines and it goes up from there. I will show their literature when it comes to that video.

@@JustMoparJoe your welcome.
Howdy
Hey Brent!
Howdy from another Brent 👍
R ya bringing the piston outta the whole?
No sir. Going for zero deck. That with the .039 head gasket and 73 cc chambers should have it at 10.5/1.
@@JustMoparJoe perfect
@@rickyfulks889 fitting it up today! Should be able to get some video out this weekend
I need to move.....that's all I can say lol...💯😎
Yea buddy! Thanks for the support!
@@JustMoparJoe you're welcome man!!!!💯😎
Why just 508 cubic inches?

@@JustMoparJoe Just curious.
The better the tools, the better the job. If you know how to use them.
This is true. Mr. Rick used to work for Keith Black.
