Love this list. I've always been pretty adverse to cooperative games cause I just like competition so much. But Slay the Spire and Spirit Island on on my shelf and ready to hit the table! Can't wait!
I was so shocked Pandemic and Paint the Roses was not on this list! Both good ones. Also Burgle Bros and The Crew are a must! Great list! Cooperative games are probably my favorite genre of games.
Sky team is such a good game, wife and I love to play it and can't wait for the upcoming expansion. But the coop game that takes top spot for me without a doubt is sleeping gods/distant skies. Can't believe it didn't make the cut :D
You guys crack me up. Definitely deserver more views and subscribers! Surprised you didn't have Nemesis: Retaliation on here - looked like y'all had a blast on that.
Some awesome coops that didn’t make the list: mechs vs minions; flashpoint fire rescue; Arkham horror the card game; fast and furious highway heist; legendary encounters aliens; nemesis. There are so many good coops these days you’ll have to do a top 100 before long!
For me is "Beast" a thing. I like tight competitive boardgames but some of my friends likes coop games. So that is a really great compromise. I am the beast and playing against the cooperative huntinggroup. And damn this boardgame looks sooo nice.
My top 10: The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, Keep the Heroes Out, Unsettled, Legendary Encounters: The Matrix, Daybreak, Lost Ruins of Arnak: Missing Expedition, The Loop, Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition Crisis, Burncycle, Pandemic Iberia
I got 5 out of 10, and one on my wishlist. Thanks for the cool video - now I will need to reconsider Slay the Spire. Most coop games I love are campaign games, which are a genre of their own.
I like Lost Ruins of Arnak: Missing Expeditions, Legendary Encounters: Firefly, Pandemic, Tesseract, Unsettled, Burncycle, Return to Dark Tower, Slay the Spire, The Princess Bride Adventure Book game (with my kids), and hopefully beginning next year, Valheim. (I'm an All-In backer for Valheim.) I'm assuming we should exclude campaign games. Otherwise, there's Gloomhaven Tainted Grail, 7th Continent, ISS Vanguard...and so on.
This year has been outstanding for coop games, imo. My #1 is still The Crew but making my top ten just from this year would be Slay the Spire, Leviathan Wilds, Bomb Busters and The Mandalorian (hugely under appreciated imo).
Hey , i love to watch the 2 of you ❤ Glad to see slay the spire on top, never played the board game, but have over 350 hours on iphone 😂 definitely one of my 3 most played games ever . Gotta get my hands on it
Return to dark tower definitely deserves to be here. Some missing items. The crew Defenders of the realm Castle panic Robinson Crusoe Mice and mystics Skies above the reich Orleans (need expansion) Thunderstone quest The convicted Eldritch horror
I really like Pandemic and Horrified. 5 Minute Dungeon is also a lot of fun. The Legendary games are really good, too, but they're an absolute pain to set up and tear down.
My number one co-op game is also my number one game of all time: Solomon Kane. Unfortunately, I hesitate to recommend it since it was published by the company that shall not be named and is also out of print. However, Monolith bought the rights, so hopefully they will do a reprint at some point in the future.
Have you guys tried Banish the Snakes or Black Orchestra? Black Orchestra is a favorite of mine, especially with first time players, because of how they get very engaged with the story’s objective. Also another favorite of mine is Arkham Horror LCG.
We love Castle Panic, Pandemic and Sky team. Great job on the picks! We've been on the fence when it comes to Slay the Spire, would you guys highly recommend it as a co-op game, even for new ish players?
These.liats are always fun. If i had to choose a top 5, would probably be (in no order) - Cthulhu DMD - Too Many Bones - Massive Darkness 2 - Marvel United - Oathsworn Spirit Island we need to play more. Its always felt so punishing thatnits not really enjoyable. Though i have 3 big ones on pur shelf that i expect will hit for us: - Unsettled - Primal - Townsfolk Tussle
Nice list! My tops: 1. Lord of the Rings LCG 2. Marvel Champions 3. Deliverance 4. Star Trek Frontiers 5. Fallout 6. Dune Imperium 7. Marvel Zombies 8. X-Men United/Marvel United 9. Aliens Legendary 10. XenoShyft
Wait! Where did Orleans Invasion go?!?!? That is a top one for me. Marvel Champions is up there too but maybe better just solo. Kinfire Delve I have been playing the heck out of. And an underrated one is Freedom the Underground Railroad.
Yes! Primal mentioned. Easily my favorite game I own. Currently running a campain. It gets compared to the Monster Hunter board game a lot, but I think Primal did the board game version better. That said, I'm still also getting Iceborne once that ships 😂 I may have a problem
You can totally make a "10 more...." list from the comments. I can only think of the Horrified series. I can't decide which one to get first from the series...watched some online reviews and I kinda like the American Monster one...what y'all think? 🤗
i think the only cooperative game i own is leviathon wilds. i like it a lot but mom, my main gaming partner, finds it confusing so it doesnt get to the table often.
I know it isn’t your jam, but could you do a top ten boss battler or top ten dungeon crawl? Boss battler may be hard to get ten of. I’m just curious to what else you would compare primal with.
I have tried the dorfromantik duel and I hated it! I enjoy the regular one a lot and I usually don’t hate on board games but the duel… It was so annoying to play and it pissed me off so bad that we stopped playing in the middle of the game, put it away and posted it for sale on a trade group 😅
Best co-op games in my world: 1) Pandemic: Fall of Rome, 2) Pandemic: Iberia, 3) Pandemic: Rising Tide, 4) base Pandemic + On the Brink, 5) Forbidden Desert, 6) The Big Book of Madness, 7) Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, 8) Magic Maze, 9) Marvel United, 10) Forbidden Jungle. ... ... ... I think I might have a thing for Matt Leacock games.
I'm really glad you're getting more into Spirit Island, it's my favourite game of all time. I love it so much
So happy to see Return to Dark Tower in here. Love that game and it's tabled all the time here.
The Loop; Vagrantsong; The Crew Mission Deep Sea; Burgle Bros; Mysterium.
Those are my favorites 🥰
Love this list. I've always been pretty adverse to cooperative games cause I just like competition so much. But Slay the Spire and Spirit Island on on my shelf and ready to hit the table! Can't wait!
Unsettled, Paint the Roses, and more recently Flock Together all go down well with my family. Codenames Duet is amazing fun to play.
Unsettled is brilliant, a regular in our household too.
🐔❤
@@matthewmundy9344 Hey Matt! Awesome game. Can’t wait for the expansion on KS on Tuesday. Take my money 😂
@@robdob You're my favorite 😆

That paint job on MU Dr Strange -> awesome!

Thanks for this list! Love the Murph bros! Big influence on my board game journey. Been watching for years.
Wahoooo!! That’s so awesome to hear
Here are some of mine: Burgle Bros, Atlantis Rising, CO2, Daybreak, Chronicles of Crime.
Burgle Bros is awesome! Doesn’t get enough love imo
You had some good ones and some questionable ones. But definitely a ton of variety on the list! Thanks for making the video, I really enjoyed it!
Another great video y'all! The art project sounds great!
sPiRiT IslAnD tOo LoW! 😂

DANG that number one though! Going to need to track down a copy because thats high praise. Love yall and your energy in this!

I love Nick's fancy french pronounciation of Dorfromantique ❤😂
Kinfire Delve or Tales to Amaze, brutal that these were left off.
Great list 🎉
Im a huge fan of the coops lcgs, marvel champions and arkham horror, was hoping to see one of them on the list heeh
Would have thought, with Halloween right around the corner,Zombicide would have been on there.
We love Castle Panic, Pandemic and Sky team. Great job on the picks! We've been on the fence when it comes to Slay the Spire, would you guys highly recommend it as a co-op game, even for new ish players?

Just subscribed. You'll be a resource for our channel, so far we've been playing the oldies (boardgames.)
Always a lil pang when you guys mention 'Too Many Bones' as it feels as though it's been out of print for a while 😢
Have to agree in the Codenames Duet take. Codenames is fine at best. Codenames Duet is the much better Codenames experience in my opinion.
I'm surprised The Loop Is not on the list! It's such an amazing game. Also, Horrified is like the epitome of Co-op games.
Psst... Mike doesn't like The Loop.
Nice list! My tops:
1. Lord of the Rings LCG
2. Marvel Champions
3. Deliverance
4. Star Trek Frontiers
5. Fallout
6. Dune Imperium
7. Marvel Zombies
8. X-Men United/Marvel United
9. Aliens Legendary
10. XenoShyft
My top three that weren't on your list: Marvel Champions, The Reckoners, and Burgle Bros.
Bulgle Bros ani Forbidden Skies deserve recognition
Wait! Where did Orleans Invasion go?!?!? That is a top one for me. Marvel Champions is up there too but maybe better just solo. Kinfire Delve I have been playing the heck out of. And an underrated one is Freedom the Underground Railroad.
It was foreshadowing the whole time...
Did you try invincible from direwolf??? Very fun super hero in the realms of Invincible ( of course )
Bag builder/tableau builder coop
Very fun
Spirit Island and The Crew are at the top for me and it’s not particularly close

LOTR LCG... oldy but goody on a different note... why do I feel ART Project would have been a great Carmen San Diego game?🤣
Pandemic Iberia is fantastic and challenging
You can totally make a "10 more...." list from the comments. I can only think of the Horrified series. I can't decide which one to get first from the series...watched some online reviews and I kinda like the American Monster one...what y'all think? 🤗

Really good video.
Lord of the Rings LCG - Best Coop card game for me 🔥🔥🔥
I know it isn’t your jam, but could you do a top ten boss battler or top ten dungeon crawl? Boss battler may be hard to get ten of. I’m just curious to what else you would compare primal with.

Wait how is Spirit Island higher than Sky Team when you had Sky Team higher on your ‘S’ games list on BGG?
Burgle bros is excellent
No Robinson Crusoe?
Are you playing the official limited communication rules with Art Society? Feels impossible!
Published by ‘Reggie Games’ hmm. Guess I gotta check it out 😎
Best co-op games in my world: 1) Pandemic: Fall of Rome, 2) Pandemic: Iberia, 3) Pandemic: Rising Tide, 4) base Pandemic + On the Brink, 5) Forbidden Desert, 6) The Big Book of Madness, 7) Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, 8) Magic Maze, 9) Marvel United, 10) Forbidden Jungle. ... ... ... Rising Tide is criminally underrated by the community at large. It’s my favorite of the Pandemic system.
@@namelessfire Amen!
How about the Loop and Paint the Roses?
Mike doesn't like The Loop. They posted a playthrough a while back.
@ that’s a bummer since Nick loves it
No. 10 and 9 are expensive!
Chekov's ... boardgame?
You were suppose to destroy your brother, not join him!
*resumes to play Star Wars: The Clone Wars*
Why no Spirit Island? Oh wait. Why not number one!? *raising pitchfork*
Good game. Too complicated for the average crowd that wants to play coop games in my group
I guess I'll watch this, just to help you fine fellows out, since nobody likes Top 10 list 🤪
where is arkham horror
Where indeed
Watched 🤓
