N23m is $15k my rent in California until i bought my house 2years ago was $5k/per month excluding utilities etc... some people pay $10k per month in apartments. i rented for about 12 years, so that's my rent for just 3 months.

In my opinion I feel a persons income is what determines wether paying a certain amount for rent is too much or not.For e.g if you are earning N100m and above annually,a N23m naira annual rent might not necessarily be a big deal,but if you are earning less and paying such amount for rent,then you are only digging your financial grave.Its actually funny that people pay such amounts for rent in a developing country like Nigeria where infrastructure and basic amenities are still at an infancy level compared to other advanced countries where rent is considerably lower.
