So I met this guy in the summer of 2016 and at the end of the summer he went back to school in Florida. We ended up on FaceTime with each other every single day. Two years later, in summer 2018, I moved to Florida to be with him. :)

My sister is in the navy all the way in Japan and her husband is actually in Pa right now but joining the air force soon! They went to high school together and then got married in Hawaii!He actually went to Japan and California to visit her! I love both of them so much, both really nice people with kind hearts. Young love! Long distance relationships can work! At the time she was 19 and he was 18! Anything is possible! 💗

My husband and I are 21&22 he’s in the military and stationed in a different state so we only get to see each other 3-4 times a year. He’s been gone for about 2 years and it’s not easy. I moved from Bedford to Ohio after being there for half my life, although I wasn’t in a relationship, losing friends was just as hard. Keeping in touch really helped, and I hope that it works for Blake as it did for me.

Aw poor Blake. At least that didn't happen to him after 3.5 years (like me. It really sucks). I'm so sorry this happened to him but he really is young, and they have all the time in the world for things to work out in their lives, together or not. EDIT: the story- My bf and I met in college and were each other's first relationship. I lived in Western PA and he lived in north NJ so over the summers we were apart (3ish months). Then I studied abroad in England for 6 months after we had been together for about a year and a half. THEN after we graduated I moved to Miami for grad school and my bf at the time moved back home to NJ because he got a job. We were long distance most of the time I would say, but I didn't really mind because I loved him with all my heart. Something in him changed though, and he got scared of the idea of marriage and SUPER long term commitments so we broke up last May. It really hurt me; after 3.5 years, I was so confused as to how you can sort of flip a switch like that. I loved him more than anything but now that time has passed, I realize that he really wasn't the right guy for me. I haven't met anyone new because my work schedule kind of holds me back from having a social life, but I may have a new job offer coming soon (possibly in NYC! :) ). I guess the moral of the story is; keep your head up Blake. You have a great life, a family who loves you, a great career ahead. Things will fall into place, you just have to be patient and go with the flow :)
Hi Mrs. Candi, try not to be to hard on yourself food wise. Panera is great! If I get a salad from there and am feeling not so good about it Ill do the dressing on the side, or make my own homemade dressing but put it on the salad I bought. I like making a dressing of just Lemon Juice and Olive Oil. And remember its okay to indulge every now and again. We are human. I personally need to lose 75 lbs. its tough I know! But what helps me is something my mom always said: She says "eating one small cupcake will no more make you fat than eating 1 healthy salad will make you skinny". It helps me. So when I do say go out to a mexican place I might have the fajitas without the bread, just the fixins, but have a few tortilla chips. I swap things so I dont indulge too much. Love the videos!

I would like to say to Blake that if it is meant to be with him and his gfriend that distance between two people doesn’t change how the heart feels if it’s meant to be it will all work out I am speaking from experience my husband and I lived 6 days drive away from each other after 2 years of back and forth to see each other we moved in together we learned a lot about each other while we lived separate it made our love even much stronger for each other 🥰
That's so funny the wrestling team looks like there doing a dance routine .it reminds me of when I was in highschool when we were in a assembly about football an they'd turn the lights off an cheerleaders would come running out with lights flashing all over them an they'd do a little dance routine so that's what this reminded me of
If Blake has found someone he really cares about, it they really care about and come to love each other, it dosent have to be over.....and from one mom to another; if Blake and she keep a long distance relationship going, he may eventually want to move where she is , and my advice would be, is to not try to hold him back if he would want to do that, because he is an adult now and if he would go that way dosent mean it would be forever and if it came to that and he did want to move away, you don’t want to hold back your kids from following their dream....because holding them back, will actually push them away in the end. I have a grown son who moved away 4years ago when he was 22 because of his job and a relationship. He moved from our home Near Charleston WV to Newport News Va.....now he has the opportunity to move from there to Bentonville Arkansas for his job at Walmart’s Home office/world headquarters ; a real step up and chance to keep moving up in his carreer. He is still with the person he was with when he moved the first time and they are both moving this time together as well. This will make him about 12 hours from where i live...(☹️) which makes me kinda sad but he is doing so well and will have many chances at advancement in his career now that he has his foot in the door down there and is happy and has promised he will still fly in at least a couple times a year to visit and will get better at communicating via technology (boys/men are kinda bad about that...lol) ....the long story short...if i would have discouraged him from moving when he had just turned 22, then he would not have had all the great opportunities that he has had and he would not have been happy, and our relationship would have suffered. (We are very close) as well as the relationship that he had with his love. It was hard to see one of my kids move so far away and i often hate that i don’t get to see him as often as i want or even talk on the phone as much as i want, but as long as i know he is happy then i am happy. We just have to remember, we raise our kids and invest so much time in their upbringing so that they will be able to leave the nest, so to speak, one day. My advice would be just to be there for Blake and listen to how he feels and what he wants and if you know that what he wants may not be what you want, but could be good for him and make him happy, then support him in his decisions. Sometimes you have to let go in order to hold onto them. My son is actually in the process of his move to Arkansas right now, so i have found away to help in the move from here by helping them look for Homes online and we communicate back and forth about all the homes he may be interested in. He’s flying down soon to actually look with a realtor his company has set up for him and have given him really good money to help him relocate...so knowing he is moving toward many good things in his future makes me happy and very proud of him. So glad i didn’t hold him back in any way when he first mention that he was moving because his love had gotten a new job so he was going to put in for a transfer at his job too.....it has all turned out very well. Best wishes for Blake as he moves forward in life, where ever and whatever that may be...and to you and Ken as well.

The past December I went away and met the most lovely guy in the world. Like Blake's situation, we truly hit it off and spent pretty much every second together whilst we were away. Unfortunately, we live in different states (I'm Australian, but I live in Sydney and he lives in Western Australia) and we have talked non-stop since the cruise but its hard to work around schedules and I'll be starting University in February so everything is getting a bit harder. I suppose for the meantime we've decided to just keep talking and remain, friends, which is heartbreaking but also understandable due to circumstances. Kind of like Blakes situation as well, I have no idea what the future holds, I would love to be with him but also I just want him to be happy. I really like to live by the saying "if its meant to happen it will", so I guess eventually either I'll hopefully get to end up with him or I can just remain focused on myself and finding happiness elsewhere. My sister who was 20 at the time met a sweet guy from Texas who was also 20 at a family friends party. They hit it off and did long distance for about a year. He later moved to New Jersey to be with her. Now they are engaged and going to get married next year!!

I had a long distance relationship with my ex boyfriend for like 5 or 6 years and it was so hard, but we pulled through and made it work out.
