That is the thing that gets me, too. I feel like we need to see regular people trying to vault first to understand how difficult it actually is! 😂

I don't think most non-gymnasts have a CLUE as to how very difficult this is but I think all the way around, Simone has over the years condition many of us to think that what she does is easy because she does them effortlessly. The only apparatus where that has not been the case is on bars. She has slimmed down quite a bit and since last year, you can see that it has helped her swing better. Everywhere else the young lady does the most difficult of skills with such ease that one could be fooled into thinking it can be done with little to no practice.
She is such a great example for the rest of her team. God bless each of them.

Her difficulty level is so high, it makes up for a step or two in the landing. The landing is only one part of one phase of her vault score.
@@gloglogo2638 well I'm just saying because there is so much emphasis to stick the landings that the slightest wiggle of a toe could be looked at as failure. Never mind an inter hemispheric leap.
