What a great recording by Buddy Cagle. Born Walter L. Cagle in Concord, North Carolina in 1936, he only recorded 17 45rpm singles and 4 LP albums in his brief career. This recording is a track from one of his Imperial LP albums, titled THE WAY YOU LIKE IT, recorded in 1966. I was unable very little personal information on him, including if he is even still alive. May be wrong but I believe I read at one time he gave up music for a welding career. Your right he recorded very little but in his case it was all good.
Buddy performed quite a lot in Southern CA when I was a kid around mid 1960's. My older brother saw him a few times in person at local clubs. Buddy did a few TV appearances on Cal Worthington's Cal's Corral but unfortunately no films or tapes of the shows were made. Buddy is another fine talent that just never got that big breakout hit.
