Being an American, this is all greek to me. Except when Falmer came up. I lived there for a year teaching... Falmer is where the University of Brighton campus is and it is in between Brighton main station and Lewes... Funny thing is, that stadium is now sitting upon the exact dorm I lived in that they tore down to build the stadium... So technically I lived inside that stadium.
With the Cardiff City stadium I think Tom was thinking of Cardiff Arms Park, home of Cardiff Blues rugby. Confusingly the entire area is called Cardiff Arms Park so the name was synonymous with the national stadium before The Millennium stadium was built which is now called The Principality stadium. Cardiff football stadium is about 2 miles southwest very close to the ancestral home of Cardiff City - Ninian Park on Sloper Road. More confusingly still, Glamorgan cricket played at Cardiff Arms Park until 1967 or so when they moved to Sophia Gardens which is not in Bulgaria.
@@meoshcam5930 Sophia Gardens is beautiful so the cricketers got the best deal, old photos of the cricket at the Arms Park always looked grim. I forget that Welsh baseball internationals were also played at the Arms Park in front of huge crowds. Sad to see just how far baseball has fallen over the last decade.
I don't think Cardiff have played at Ninian Park for ages yet it'd still be the first stadium that came to mind if someone asked me "where di Cardiff play?"
On Brighton and the Falmer stadium thing- Falmer is the local village nearby the stadium and is the name most Brighton fans used when campaigning to get it built. Most locals would know that, but the Amex name is far more widely known. Its a bit cheeky of the quiz to use that name.

Tbf he was just doing well enough that it didn't come into play for several rounds. I don't think it's entirely intuitive until you make a large enough mistake for some red to show, and that's when he realized it. I didn't understand what it was for until that point, either.
@@findmeinthefuture. the red kept disappearing as well for the earlier rounds. I'm not sure if it's because it was just a sliver and it forgives you or if earlier rounds are non-cumulative.
Wow, been watching you for years Tom, and I now like you even more knowing you (almost) support the Swans! Can’t blame you for following us less in recent years…. It’s been tough! Top man, YJB!!
The stadium that back onto the Millenium is the Arms Park where the Cardiff Blues (rugby) play. Although Cardiff City have had a new stadium semi-recently-ish it's pretty much in the same place as their old one.
As a football fan I definitely appreciate this kind of content. Quite a bit room for improvement at this aswell, since your stadium knowledge seems to lag well behind your UK city knowledge. The Valley especially was a bit of a blunder.
I usually watch your videos and think to myself, "I could probably get somewhere close in this one..." This challenge, however, is so outside my knowledge, and the map so minimal, that all my mileage allotment would be gone in a single guess. 😆
The only ground I got wrong was Fir Park - I knew roughly where - so would have gone for Accies. Agree the maps weren't very helpful, but the scoring was very tolerant!
Congrats on your nuptials! Looking from the outside, just seeing how much support she gives to your weird hobby/work, I'd say that marrying her is the smartest thing you'll ever do. All the best to the two of you!
Did this before watching so i could compare.. completed all levels with 140 miles total out for all 5. First one of these thing i've actually done ok in. Really enjoyed the vid too cheers fella.
Oh congratulations on your wedding! I just got married myself and we are on our honeymoon now! It's so nice to relax from all the wedding stress haha. We wish you both all the best! 😄
I liked this video a lot, even as someone who isn't in to football! Map is quite minimal so it seems to test you a little bit more, and it's cool to see your knowledge of football stadiums. Another attempt at this would be cool I think, might have to brush up on your SPL knowledge!!
FInished on the first attempt, a total of 280.84 miles out, no hints used. Was only outside the 20 mile range with New Meadow (Shrewsbury). Not bad for a Canadian who's never been to the UK!
As a Rotherham Fan this was interesting, as we don't normally get a mention. I can't believe you thought we had been in the Prem though, never been in the top flight.
Having tried not entirely successfully to do a 'no-roads mission' style video last week, I'm very pleased to have beaten Tom at this football game getting 95% thanks to a 25 year journey from League 2 to Championship (twice) with my team. Time for a beer! Cheers > #Disco
As a Cardiff fan - you were thinking of the rugby team, Cardiff Arms Park. That's right next to the Principality. The current Cardiff City Stadium (imaginitive name) is across the road from where the old Ninian Park used to be.
Cardiff Arms Park is the stadium right next to the Millennium. The stadium next to the Millennium stadium is Cardiff Arms Park, the rugby team’s home stadium So sorry to hear you have Swansea blood. I hear they have transfusions to deal with that sort of thing now
Good old Ayresome Park, was demolished before I was born, on the year actually. So I never got to see it in person, but the Riverside is a majestic "old world" stadium which has a 4 star rating from UEFA meaning it could theoretically host a UCL and Euros Final. It's still in pretty good shape, better than some premier league stadiums.
The stadium right next to the principality is Cardiff Arms Park home of Cardiff Blues the rugby team. Cardiff City did move stadium relatively recently but that was across the road from Ninian Park
Mansfield Town and Notts County are easy to remember because they're all about expanses of grass Mansfield = Field Mill (or the One Call Stadium if going by sponsorship...) Notts = Meadow Lane And Deepdale in Preston is where you go for your football and your shopping! ❤
