@Bart LeeOh yeah, I sent it to one of my friends also. Because it was the original level and with file compression on top of it. None of the uploaded music on music platforms are at the original level anymore, they are all downgraded in volume for the last 5 years.
Its weird how the albums that really need a remastering like COBs old stuff never get the treatment. Yet albums like Megadeth's Youthanasia gets a remastering, its so frustrating.
more commercially successfull albums have easier access to stems i think, i genuinely dont believe you can find any stems for Something wild for example
@@fisheyerecordingsthey actually mastered Hexed and A chapter called Children of Bodom way quieter, I think too quiet, but yeah, AYDY was destroyed by loudness war, this video sounds way better
This is so fantastic! If I could plead with you - the Follow the Reaper album... dude that album has amazing guitar-tone and tons of leads, but it is so hard to distinguish the beautiful details. The title-track, Everytime I Die... Hate Me, Taste of my Schythe, Bodom after Midnight... basicly the entire album deserves so much more! If it got your magic touch I think it would be awesome. The title track was almost religious extacy for me back as a teen when it came out. I could not believe how beautiful the melodies and the guitars were, and the energy.
There's a vinyl release that exists that already takes care of this problem. There's also some new layers because it was an alternate mix used. I've been trying to find it again ever since on UA-cam, but I still have a download in my files of the whole album.
Funny, I randomly felt nostalgic today and wanted to listen to this song, and I appended my search with "remastered" because I remembered how bad the original sounds lmao
Are you dead yet is a fantastic album that's also IMO (this is pure perception) the loudest and most victim to the loudness war. Your meter on the right shows how indeed it was all squished up
This version sounds way better on high end headphones than the old one the original one used to clip occasionally on low end speakers and a high end ones the loudparts would distorted

Yeah... it's that loud. Worst dynamic range is 4.1 dB on this one. Hope you enjoy my remastered version!

Finally a version I can listen to in my car without hearing it crackle and pop.
It is pretty loud, COB are notorious for loud mixes/masters unfortunately. Glad you enjoy it!

Yeah, this one and the Mezmerize/Hypnotize were ridiculous in terms of brickwalling. Thanks to modern mixing/mastering!

CoB have amazing song, but your musical production is not the best.... the saturation and noise in the guitars and high frecuency it is too much
Did you even hear original song mix?
Original is better
appreciate the effort, but you've taken out the punch
