“What are the key differences between Samatha (calm) meditation and Vipassana (insight) meditation in Buddhism, and how can one effectively integrate both practices into their daily routine?” thank you ❤❤❤
Samantha has characteristics of Jhanas while Vipassana is way of self-transformation through self-observation. It focuses on the deep interconnection between mind and body. Vipassana can be more effectively practiced when one has reached 1st Jhana or Pre-1st Jhana. Jhana involves transformation of 5 elements in your body, nadis and pranas, when tranquilities have been reached then vipassana can be practiced in more profound way and fast
@@winarkosungonosuriasong2395 I'm a beginner Mahayana student myself and I think we should study all forms of buddha schools to figure out what's best for us. However, the Buddha states that we are now in the dharma ending age, where achieving nirvana is increasingly difficult by ourselves. That's why in Mahayana, they rely on suttas from the Bodhisattva's and belief in Amitabha to help us out of the samsara cycle. Theravada relies mainly on Gautama Buddha's teachings. The Buddha has spoken of the western land of ultimate bliss where Amitabha Buddha resides. It is also referred to as Pure land or Sukhavati. Tibetan Buddhism also share the same belief too.
Both. The Buddha taught many different approaches to different people out of his great compassion and skilful means. The Theravada emphazises renunciation, the three higher trainings and Arhatship. The Mahayana focusses on bodhicitta, the six perfections and Buddhahood. However, the Theravada accepts Bodhisattvas. It is even in the Śrī Lankan constitution, which is heavily Theravada,, that the prime minister should be a bodhisattva.

Just by chanting Buddha Amitabh’s name when cannot be born into this pure land. It’s always karma that decides your rebirth. 🙏🏼
Theravada never mentions about Amitabha in their Sutta
That's right because this is Mahayana
@@roselavender2222 so which one is true?

Om Ami Dewa Hrih
Amituofo!
Was this the assembly known as “Māgha Pūjā” the Theravada?
No, Theravada never teach Amithaba/Omitofo there is not Amithaba at Sukhavati including Sukhavati Heaven at East that is big lier
Buddha does not speak about Amitabha sutra ,please do not mislead lay people's.
All the Sutra were taught by the Buddha......It means the words of Buddha. Buddha even taught the Tantra. Theravada followers are clueless.
looks like it is only valid for americans
lol why do the Buddha and all his disciplines look Mandarin? Who painted this thing?
As we read in heart sutra that form isn’t that important.
Bengis Khan😂😂😂😂
There is No Heaven Sukhavati at East including a Buddha Amithaba stay there, what a lier
Read the Sutra, you'll figure it out. One must study first, stop making the judgement out of your ignorance.
How beautiful ❤❤😊😊😊😊🙏🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful video ❤❤❤❤❤
