I’m a Buddhist and a follower of Theravada Buddhism but I do love all other sects of Buddhism. I think what this world is missing is compassion for one another but also practicing the correct way instead of just blindly following and not wanting to change ourselves. I have a question, according to your School do you think that theravada is the most complete kind of Buhddism. So other sects would be inferior.

For what i have learned theravada Buddhists are hinayanist: they want to exit from samsara for their own sake. They don't want to help others and gaining ghe buddha mind of enlightenment, they have not bodhichitta; is that true?
World is very much exposed to the wrong use of Shakti/Lifeforce/Dakini energy and people have become thirsty for this bliss, no proper use of it nor spiritual maturity about this has been provided. Many beings have been empowered with the energy and their lack of moral and ethical foundations leads them to superiority complex issues or seen from a Dharmic perspective they fall in the Deva realm and thus think of themselves as a higher eternal unchanging self. What the world needs is proper explanation of how this energt can be used in favor towards achieving Buddhahood more easily through wind/prana manipulation rather than using it to control the world and other beings without knowledge of this.

Thanks for the video. It is hilarious that every time I watch the videos on Tube related to Buddhism, there is always Hindus weighing in the comment section even though the contain has nothing to do with Hinduism. They always claim that they superior of all and try hard to influence Buddhists around the world to engage in Hinduism but they forget Buddhists are smart and intelligent.
We have come so far against all odds and still rose through the worst . We have bared so much bigotry and genocide through out the history around Asia and specially in Indian sub-continent. My sincere gratitude to all the Buddhists around the world.

Thats because Tibetan Vajrayana is almost like Hinduism. Vajrayana took/adopted many teachins, rites and rituals from Hindu. Thats why tantra vajrayana almost look like hinduism. This makes hindu people feel like they are brothers from same mother. Then if you read original theravada Suttas, Buddhas teaching is totally different than Hinduism and Vajrayana "buddhism".

Yes you are right. Clearly it is mahayana story. Mahayanas don't have authentic Suttas. They cooked up lots of stories. Many sutras are composed by people. But we dont even know if those people were even enlightened or not. Many of these sutras stand against Buddhas teachings.

Maitreya is not due for around 5 million years. Do the maths. Humans increase in height one inch every one hundred years until they reach the height of 160 feet and increase lifespan every one hundred years until they reach 80,000 years. Buddha's normally reincarnate every 93 million years but Maitreya's is a very quick reincarnation.

@@WisdomTellers Hi, you might want to read the Sattasuriya Sutta for details on how earth will be bbqed. for Maitreya to become a buddha he has to realise his awakening on his own effort. a "buddha" cannot read or be taught any teachings of past buddhas if not he is just an arahant if he gain nibbana.

New learner here and with all due respect where do you get there were “other Buddhas”?
As I am going through this video, a thought comes to my mind and a curiosity arises so i sincerely hope someone to be kind enough to quench my curiosity or rather provide with some soul satisfying answer .
By now most of us are familiar with the concept of enlightened Gods who are free from the cycle of samsara yet take part in the cycle of birth and death merely to establish Dharma and liberate all sentient beings of all the realms . But when they do so why is it that they mostly choose to take birth in a royal family or a rich family and then later sacrifice their royalty along with their relationships and go to years of Sadhanas to attain the enlightenment ? If one is truly concerned about all the wrongs and sins that has been happening around in this world , should He or She not start from the stratch for example , himself being born in a poor family or let alone be a middle class family and experience all the sufferings first at the same time feel the burden/pressure of responsibilities that one has towards his parents or families foremost ? Would a boy born in a poor family be able to attain the Buddhahood or enlightenment amidst him being bounded to his connections with his Parents or his families when he is born in this earthly realm ?
I do not mean to dispect any religion or any believe system for that matter, but why this concept of being born in a royalty or a rich family , enjoying to his fullest all the pleasures of the world from delicacies to hundreds of wife and then another instant when the clock strikes abandoning everything in order to attain the enlightenment ?
If for a santient being it would be a sin to engage himself or herself if ever they want to indulge in worldly pleasures then why should it be an excuse or considerable for the Enlightened Beings to do the same after they are reborn ?
I have also read the Tibetab Book of the Dead and there are methods though which one can decide his or her next births but for somebody who is already an Enlightened Being , it would be a child's play . Are they applying cheat codes of any a sort when they choose to be born in a wealthy family or a royal family for that matter ?

Hello! I think your question is completely valid. Buddha said to question everything and not just believe it because he said it.
I think Buddhas take rebirth in wealthy families to show that even though you have the best conditions (health, beauty, money, etc.) you still suffer and should strive for Enlightenment.
It would be very obvious to think that a poor person wants to chance his circumstances, but it's not so obvious when that person has everything anyone strives for.

It is by questioning that we gain deeper understanding and you are right to seek answers.
On reflecting your questions, I thought to offer my understanding, with the knowledge available to me as a Buddhist, as to why things play out a certain way. I hope these answers will help you in some way to reflect on these questions and find some clarity.
There are different stages to enlightenment (that dismantles the 10 fetters that bind beings to birth-death cycles called samsara) and it is Bodhisatvas who are yet to be fully enlightened that come in human form to complete their enlightenment process and shed the light of Darma and show others the way to enlightenment with the highest love and compassion for all of life.
These beings go through rigorous training in samsara by being born countless times in all imaginable forms, from animals to hungry ghosts to waterborne creatures to humans in different levels of society, poor, sick, downtrodden in order to develop unconditional love for all sentient beings. They engage in practices such as deep meditation to purify their mind towards attaining full enlightenment/Buddhahood and as a result, gain much merit or wholesome karma that I believe doesn’t allow for birth in suffering states such as being born poor, since they’ve already served in those testing states, since the laws of karma operates for all alike. Also it is fair to assume that they set a fine example by being born rich and then letting go of worldly pleasures and belongings as proof that the state of enlightenment is the ultimate bliss state/freedom that surpasses anything in the material plane. It is the state of complete freedom from ‘being’.
A fully enlightened being does not want to experience let alone indulge in anything the material world has to offer because they have broken free of avidya (ignorance of the true state of phenomena - that everything on the material plane is subject to decay and death which brings dukka or suffering/dissatisfaction). The Bodhisatva (the one aspiring Buddhahood) will go through a period of indulgence in worldly pleasures to help remind him the dissatifactory nature of worldly things that will then push him to attain full enlightenment through which he frees other beings who are willing to surrender their ego and follow the Dharma to gain enlightenment. I hope this helps 🙏

What if that Buddha is already here, but people are still waiting and fail to recognize because they have a specific expectation of the Buddha should come en behave. Either way the guy has a nice story with path already set and success guaranteed while me on the other hand are elbow deep searching for the path everywhere as the others path I have seen are not to my liking.
He is already here . Is not teaching religion , but humanity love and sharing .

I wrote 5 treaties (stories)
I don't know what to make of it, there are quite a few similarities, pretty wild.

I’m a Buddhist but I don’t believe in such stories.. Buddha or future Buddha will never chose to be born in caste system. Every Buddhist use your common sense, logic and reasoning.
But in the Bhadrasutra it dilineates the lives of 1005 Buddha's and what caste they will be born in. Some like Shakyamuni was born into the warrior class,some into the Brahman class and there is even one Buddha born into the Merchant class if I remember correctly. We have to consider karma as relevant to their high rebirth.

Mahayana and Tibetan Buddhism developed more than 600 years and 1000 years respectively after Buddha. so they contain a lot of teachings which deviate from the original teaching of Buddha. Sad to see later practices deteriorate into superstition, relaxation of monks precepts, tantric, mantras etc. This greatly deviate from the cultivation of virtue, deep meditation and insight wisdom found in the original teachings. sorry to say, but you have a misunderstanding about the mahayana path. everyone has different state of mind so we need different method to understand things but what should we keep in mind is the view ,If you see behind every method, there is a view that differentiates the path of different religions, or you can say different school of thoughts as for india . many concepts are alike in many of these philosophical schools, but what makes them different is the view rooted in the philosophy. buddhist masters says" it is the view that differentiates all the religions " , so it doesn't matter any method even it is just a story to inspire people like us who are always needs references, as long as we don't deviate from the right view , it is a skillful method, not something superstitious or mythical. at ultimate level chanting matras or rituals is a skillful method ,its not something praying to some god it's to discipline yourself it's a way to bring awareness at present moment,when they say everyone has buddha nature it means everyone has the capacity to achieve a state of a buddha mind, then how cannot there be another buddha or thousands of buddha if you believe in only the buddha who appeared thousand years ago then you are negating the fact that liberation is for everyone , theravada , mahayana, and vajrayana, these all paths have Buddha's wisdom and that all matters.

Are there really no more ideas for this coming event than kind of exact echo from what happened before? This seems very small thinking. Enlightenment would never stick to a known setting to just make it digestible for the public. And there will be no need for it. We are now entering in the age, where mind is loosing it - completely. It will be much worse, by far. And then, in the middle of absolute darkness, Maitreya will rise and prove, that light can never be overwon. Thanks.

Tibetan scriptures say that he will live a life as worldly person until up to 20.000 years and then after realizing impermanence and enlightenment teach 60.000 years - so the youtube video is correct in this fact.

Duryodhana[2] patted his own thighs out of arrogance which enraged the sage who cursed him to die due to broken thighs.
The Viṣṇupurāṇa was taught to Maitreya by the sage Parāśara.[3] The sage Baka-Dālbhya[4] was also known as Maitreya. Maitreya is also prominently mentioned in the Bhāgavata.

@@tantrichill192it's actually opposite. The word Maitreya refers to the son of Mitra. Mitra is a devata (God) of the Vedas. So actually, the Mahayanis who were majorly Brahmins, took this masala and added to their sect.
