    I had a 4 channel and was using it for 2 coaxes and a sub. I had only used monoblocks and didn’t know bridging halves the ohm load. One note and it went into protect.

    I did not know that last part about some amps sounding worse at 2 ohms than 4 ohms

      I was using a dual 2 wired at 4 ohms and switched it to 1 trying to get louder. I don’t think it made any difference so I went back to 4 to put less stress on the amp

      @@gregblau8082 is your amp rated the same at 1 ohm and at 4 ohms?

      I think that one was 350 or 400 at 4 and 1000 at 1

      @@JM-kn9dh I didn’t. I had set it as I usually do with a tweeter and turn it up until it buzzes. Supposedly gain will be the same regardless of ohm load from what I read about that method. This sub wasn’t rated to handle the power that amp could do so I tested it at half volume under both loads
