My five mains are 4 ohm nominal, but you know that it is frequency dependent and it does fluctuate up and down. My solution was to get an Anthem P5 Statement and I have a chunk of headroom and NO worries at all on frying the output transistors. Would love to see this amp push the Martin Logans around.
When I sold Hi-fi, plenty of customers would blow tweeters constantly or have their amp go into protection. Didn't require a poorly designed or manufactured speaker. Just a customer trying to reach a certain volume level that exceeded the capabilities of the amp.
Erin - "It has pretty blue lights". Im shying away from 4ohm speakers because Im still only running 15amp circuit in my room. 3amps pushing 13 channels at 4ohms each plus 2 behringer amps wired at 2ohms each... I feel Im pushing the limits.
