    I tried the heat gun with no results, maybe because the body was half sanded when I got it? Any comments appreciated.

    how long did you let the stripper sit on the body for, I was looking arround to strip my ibanez and a lot of places were asying atleast half an hour between when you spread the stripper before you start scraping

    Apparently guitar refinishing makes people swear a lot as I'm on the 3rd set of videos and you're the least swearing of the bunch.

    Moral of video~ cost of chemicals + time spent removing paints + scrapping devices + clean up + disassemble and reassemble+ driving to stores to find the right chemical = more expensive then finding a replacement body and selling old body. Move along folks. (p.s. pencil line ? its probably bad wood grain, which is why they painted it blue instead of a sunburst or clear)

    what a hot mess. Why not try a heat gun?

  • @jaythomas5895
    @jaythomas5895 7 років тому

    a heat gun was the best option strippers really suck for guitars

      went to home depot and got Kleen Strip paint stripper. it did nothing.
      orbital sander works but only for the flat surfaces.
      heat gun is the only damn way.

    What a fuckin' MESS! This is exactly why I won't attempt this, ever. Actually that blue/purple original finish was pretty sweet....

      ROCKSTARCRANE cause youre lazy and have no skills like? Chemical strippers are the best. You just cant be a moron.

  • @GrzegorzWitkowski

    Heat gun is probably much better that this messy chemical sh*** you used, I think.
