Lol growth doesn’t only mean in economically, growth should be in all sectors then we can call it real growth , where is women’s freedom ? Where is entertainment industry? @@harishXO Women have more freedom in Bangladesh compared to India even, just look at the Gender Gap Index. Just because Bangladesh is Muslim it doesn't mean women have less freedom here. I guess you just assume things about us without researching much. Literally women participate in everything here. Bangladesh is the most Gender equal country in South Asia. Yeah we Bengalis got lucky in one sector hopefully we will catch up with the others in other sectors soon as well we are trying to diversify our economy. And how is entertainment industry even linked to real growth or development? Entertainment industry helps in soft power just. Do girls in India perform cloth dances in the streets of Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi to show their economic growth? I bet they don't. I know women are doing great in India they have freedom for many things they are well educated but overall it's still better in Bangladesh. Infact I feel more safe in Bangladesh compared to India. As a Bangladeshi tourist I felt quite unsafe when visited Delhi, Chandigarh and Srinagar. I got catcalled, vulgar words were used specially in Delhi( done by a group of Punjabi men, I remember the word kudi ) and this is why I don't think it's Gender equal country yet. Although I agree that Bangladesh is not USA but still it's better than India for safety of women and equality.
Fellow Indians, kindly stop defecating in the replies. Bangladesh is indeed developing across many sectors. We as Indians have to accept facts and strive for a better future for ourselves. We are in no position to judge our neighbour when we ourselves are quite behind in many areas.

My grandfather fought 1971 war, his company took part in Battle of Garibpur.
He used to tell me a lot of stories of Mukti joddha. During an interaction with Mukti Bahini a young Bangla boy started yelling "Sat Sri Akal" and the Indian soldiers replied back with "Joy Bangla", it was one of the best memory he had.
I feel so proud when I see that Bangladesh is developing and has a great future ahead, it feels like we also have a part in this development.

Bangladesh is doing pretty good actually I know that cuz I live here. The original land area of Bengal was bigger before now we are left with Bangladesh only like the region of West Bengal, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya were given to India which was originally part of Bengal. Unfortunately we are left with a small land area now. But anyways past is past present matters the most. Small countries like South Korea and Japan is leading in everything.
