Hello, John, Good to here you on the air especially with the Anytone AT-6666, been using mine for 2 years base and mobile. The best radio I ever used . I also have a President washington and my anytone out dones them for sure have a good one...
Great Christmas present! I really like the q6. There is a ton of menu options and I’m still finding new stuff it’ll do. Can’t wait for the Aires2 to come out.
Great receive John. I totally agree with you on the Lincoln , I used to own one. Not the best receive. I wish you a very Happy New Year, all the best to you and your family...!! and everyone else here...!!!
Great radios! I have 2 of those here one in the base and one in my truck! For Christmas this year i gave myself lol an anytone 5555n II it is fantastic as well. Happy new year 151! I will be looking for you soon on the air waves. 73..... 9WR520
I'm hearing many good things about those Anytones! The 6666 is supposed to be a similar build to the 955? Good hearing you out there yesterday! Wagonmaster 390 live gate was good stuff. I tried reaching out to that PEI station, but too noisy for this mobile from NC. 314/UDX314!
Ok, Scott. "73" => "Best Regards". Since it's already plural there's no need to add the "s" at the end. We get it. Listening to the upper CB channels, (as in, 'This is NOT Ham") we often use "73's". That's just the way it is. You're not going to be able to get us all to go with "73" so if it troubles you, please kindly return to Ham. We're here to congratulate John on the great radio his son bought for him for Christmas, not the proper use of "73". So please, let it go and celebrate the New Year. 73, 325NJ
I too had the Lincoln 2 and it's a junk 200 double zero in erie pa good job on that radio I too have the 6666 in my truck love it great radio no problem with it .
Same here, but I have 1x 6666 and 2x 5555nll and the Lincoln ll+. The 5555nll is my favorite because of the size, I do love the 6666 too but its fiddly with my big scratchers.
I’m a ham operator and I listen to the cb bands occasionally. I have an Anytone 6666 I’m about to add to my truck. Im curious what the 3 digit identifications I’m hearing cb operators use represents. Thanks
Nice! the 6666 is a great radio. Most of the numbers are self assigned, they're used as an easy way to identify a station. I use "151" because of a 151 cubic inch engine Chevy made in the 70's.
I just ordered one of these a couple days ago after first hearing about it on You Tube and doing INTENSE research for like 3 days straight. What antenna are you using in this outstanding video? Thank you sir!!! BTW, where in SC? I'm a Summerville Greenwave re-located to Alaska.
Awesome! I'm sure you're going to love your new radio. I have mine connected to a half wave ground plane antenna. Thanks for watching, 73's from 151 SC. midlands.
It would be great If I could do a video with you also, on my way back through. Mike and I met at one if his local parks. Anxious to here from you , thanx brother, love your videos.
It's interesting how everyone's got their likes and dislikes regarding the receive side of radios.. Personally of the 4 cb radios I own I like the receives in this order: 1. Anytone 6666. Hands down best receive. Absolutely love it! Zero complaints. Both ssb and am sound choice. 2. Anytone 5555N ii. Many may disagree with putting this below the quad 6 but the dsp filtering in mine has a digital quality that is a little unnatural and it kind of bothers me. Don't get me wrong it has a fantastic receive but personally I like the quad 6 receive better. 3. Uniden 980 Bearcat. Pretty decent receive. I don't care for how it doesn't have an rf gain knob but rather push button. Other than that pretty nice receive on both am and ssb. 4. President Lincoln 2 Plus. I don't hate it and think the am receive is fantastic but like was mentioned in this video the distortion that comes through on ssb is just terrible sometimes. Mine doesn't always have this distortion and I can't quite figure out what is going on here. Sometimes it sounds good but sometimes distorted. Having said this the president lincoln shines in how easy it is to navigate. I put this at the top in the navigation department so I will definitely keep it in the rotation. 73
The Stryker 955, quad 5 and quad 6 sound amazing on the air, good quality sound. John youve got a cool sounding voice on the air, you should work as a dj at a radio station.
Nice looking radio John thanks for the videos. Where will the next ham fest be you keep up with them better than me. I live in NC and never hear about them until after it over.
Good morning John,,, I am heading up to Cape Cod Tuesday. If you've seen any if my videos, we deliver Class A RV's and I'm heading up there to buy one from a client.

Shame on President , cause it’s mediocre at best on SSB audio output ,, but honestly mine shines like a Diamond on AM ,, output and receive , so I’ll just be happy for that
lol, This video has already received a thumbs down, and I'm sure there will be more. I agree with you, they are good on AM, But I only use SSB, So I'm currently using my Lincoln II+ as a paper weight. Take care Dallas, 73's
