I grew up with this show, and the Wishbone theme was stuck in my head, looked up some episodes, childhood memories right here! And I'm 25 now..would LOVE if they air this show on Discovery Kids or something. :)
I have very fond memories of this episode. I used to act out Joan's part. :) She's so complex. To many, Joan is a hero, even a saint, a woman who chose to walk her own path to the battlefield based on what her voices told her instead of ending up either in the convent or at the hearth, but there's also a dark side to that, too. She was killing in the name of God, and as we know today, you can do a lot of things in the name of God that seem justifiable at the time, but it's a very slippery slope.
I often wondered how much wishbone's script was written after it was already filmed. Of course most of it is planned dialog but some of the gestures he makes, when he looks at something or does anything minor, and he adds little quips. I wonder if those little quips are from Larry's on improv.
I'm 19 and I love wishbone so much, I'll watch it before I die. The things I want to do before I die is, Watch wishbone, have my last chinese dinner, and see the world.
Saw a Joan of Arc painting at an art gallery today and on the ride home I kept thinking I wonder if I find the Wishbone episode about of Joan of Arc and voila!! Thank you, 90sProject :-D.
I'm turning 13 this year and watched this show on PBS when I was about 5. I'm still tracking them all! A lot of my classmates probably don't know about this show, though... *sigh*
Cliff Stephens was really good at his job acting like villianous people, even though in the episode he wasn't so much a villian he was a homeless man who needed food and shelter and he's a great actor.
I used to think that Randy Moore who is playing Joan's father was also the same actor who played Sam's father. Not the same actor but they do look a like.
I think that "rascal" must have been an angel sent by God, just happening to show up hungry and cold, in need of shelter and food, with a million stories about the war, and saying just the right things to get Joan to do what she did.
But you can still call it a home run. Every grand slam is a homerun, but not many homeruns are grand slams. There's nothing wrong with calling it a "homerun" because that's what it is.

I turned 25 two weeks ago, and just looked up some episodes and stumbled upon this comment. It sure does bring back memories of the simple times!
Great wholesome television! When Wishbone first aired, I was the same ages as Sam, David and Joe! It was great times!
Who here wanted to have Wishbone as their dog, growing up?
Me
Everyone
I already did. Jack Russell terrier.
@@robquin1525 lucky. The only JRT i knew growing up was a yappy asshole whose owners didn't give a shit about training him
@acctfornose omg yes
The way Wishbone says "Hello" is funny.
Joan of arc is an inspiration to women everywhere!
Probably an inspiration to everyone period.
So was Susan B. Anthony.
Sadly, women today are SJWs thinking they can intimidate men.

Jeanne Simpson who plays Joan of Arc and other characters in the Wishbone stories a really great actress!!

Wishbone kicks Dora's ass! And every other kid's show. Well maybe Arthur could give wishbone a run for his money
Loved this back in the 90s
Samantha looks pretty in purple.
Amanda and Samantha are frenemies.
I understand that there are people younger than me that can remember this show, it's just I don't run into many that do.
It seems to me that a home run is an individual acheivement and a grand slam is a team accomplishment.
I'm guessing the blast were the golden state warriors of oakwood indoor soccer
Why wasn't this show ever released on DVD??! These videos of VHS tapes... grr.
thinprincess87 well there ya go!
Almost everyone younger than me can't remember this show. I'm not that old! I'm only 20 years old.

i know my older brother LOVED wishbone, and he's 15!
Someone should make a new tv episode
Why do they always ignore the barking dog? What if someone was trying to break in?
I miss this show are they going to make a dvd of this show
I know what you mean. I'm only 3 years older than you, and I also miss this show.
what country you live in would be a good start to helping us out
my mom would always get these for me on vhs
Thanks a lot PBS for removing the concept of Joan "hearing God's voice".
That's how she knew who the king was and a lie.
I will keep my eyes open and maybe I'll see him. I know what its like to not know where a pet is.
Two words: Reading Rainbow.
One word
Wishbone 🥰

2:07 I think it's a good idea, and I'm a male
I think it's a good idea, too, because I think it's a good idea.
Is there anything these kids cant play? Basketball, Roller Hockey, Soccer.
the rascal used to scare the crap out of me!
I love wishbone and I am only 9 I wish this still erred
I know. I’m 12 and I wish wishbone still aired
I’m ten and I wish it was still aired. 🐶🐱🐮🐼🐝🦄🐡🦮🐈⬛
funnily enough, when you said this, the show was actually still airing, not on many places though.
Anyone thought wishbone would be Joan of arc lol xxxx
um, I'm 13 and I watched this when I was like 7 or 8
Now you’re 18.. welcome to the real world.. it sucks.
Then they betrayed her.
Joan of arc got burned
Joe should stick to basketball. He's the worst goalie ever. :D
9:20 I already don't like the looks of this.
No mention of Joan of Arc claiming to have been visited by a saint. This is why political correctness needs to stop.
