    Thank you so much for the amazing work and for delivering to us the best recording quality, watching you soldering is so satisfying.

    You have taught me more in the past 15 minutes of watching videos than I have learned in many many years of casual soldering for RC stuff. Very helpful stuff. Thank you. You should provide some product links that earns you some $. I would follow and buy stuff from there to reward you.

    Empty teabags seem to work pretty well too for small spots. (I steep my tea in a teapot even if the tea comes in bags.) More pliable than coffee filters but also less absorbent.

    I find that clean, new coffee filters work quite well for this purpose.

    In a pinch you can also use paper coffee filters. Better than toilet paper, not as good as KimWipes.

    • @Androkavo

      depend on your flux type and components on pcb. If use water soluble flux, you can clean with warm water, and careful with plastic components, it can melt if use strong solvent

    why is it important to clean flux?

  • @ZsomborZsombibi
    @ZsomborZsombibi 3 роки тому

    I used to leave flux there, it protects the joints from oxidation.

    • @VikasVJois
      @VikasVJois 3 роки тому

      Actually, the flux removes any oxidation on the metal that would have otherwise prevented further oxidation, thereby revealing fresh metal that gets oxidized further until the whole connection is gone. So, it is recommended to clean the flux for long term reliability.

    Toilet paper is designed NOT to be strong when wet, so it disintegrates easily in the sewer system.
