Maybe I missed it but did you do a video dedicated to outfield gloves? How should an outfield glove hinge/close compared to the way you do your infield gloves? Have a new A2K MB model and been breaking it in for my 14u kid. Thanks.
Hey I have been watching your video. Have you try the Japanese Wilson staff glove? I would love to see you make a video explaining the difference with a2k
I will invert my glove a few times for about 5 minutes each time right at the beginning of a new glove break in. This does not ruin your glove or affect its shape in any way. It's a great way to loosen the fibers in the leather a little bit. And if Shigeaki Aso does it then you know it's legit and won't hurt your glove.
@@jonnyt16 nice yeah he said it was a quick way to loosen it up, his preferred break in is similar to the BGK break in if not identical. I wish Aso could break a a2k in for me, it will be my make a wish choice if i ever get cancer lol
What’s the difference between rolling the heel portion like you did on your glove and the wrap? Won’t rolling the heel back and forth collapse the heel instead of keeping it stiff for 2 hinges? Need to get my glove broken in and worried about messing up the 2 hinges points. Btw love the content!!
@stratmaster8 Don't be afraid to roll the heel, it will not ruin your hinge points. Just don't keep doing it constantly forever. I roll my heel about a dozen times for about 10-20 seconds each time when I break in a glove. All that does is loosen the fibers in the leather slightly. When you wrap a glove, it keeps the heel in that awkward position for hours. Big difference.
When you are rolling you are in control so you would have to roll for a few hours straight to really mess it up. When you wrap it you don’t get to choose where those hinges are so it often has an odd form
@@jonnyt16yeah when I wrap a glove with a ball in the pocket, I also place a ball typically a tennis ball or something slightly smaller right in the heel area almost snow cone effect to keep that heel spread wide. Keeps that box look in the heel
I work at a Dick’s sporting goods where we do glove steamings and I run the team sports department and I totally have seen what you talked about where people doing the break in don’t really know much about how to do so. Now that I took over the department I do most if not all of them when I’m there and I really make sure that everyone that does them when I’m not has knowledge of what they are doing to the glove and why to ensure a proper break in but I know that not all locations do this. I wish the company cared more about quality than quantity when it comes to breaking in gloves and everyone could get proper training.
You guys have great stuff! Now… convince your old man to get on this platform with some of his cooking prowess. First episode I wanna see his pizza and those famous cinabon rolls!!! Keep up the great work. TM
Hand held steamer is where it's at not a whole steamer focus right on the spots breakin etc to firm it the way you want I swear won't have same issue as a full enclosed steamer
I’ve done the microwave process numerous time. I use hot water over the entire glove and then put in the microwave for 1 minute. Take it out and beat it. All my gloves are good to go.
Hey ball glove king I recently got a A2000 1787 glove for 3rd base and a a2000 1799 for outfield. How do I get a thumb to pinky close on my outfield glove. I already wear 2 in the pinky for both but it wants to close thumb to ring finger. Any tips?
hahha...when you guys say "unreal" repeatedly it so reminded me of that Jaxton gloves kid who says it every other word...dont forget..."soo insane"....
Rolling on 2 years with a Nokona for my son. Also 9 years old, all star team. Their first base mitt changed his game big time. He also has a Rawlings but could never close it properly.
The microwave will work with foam shaving cream and you have to put it in a plastic bag not by itself. You're not trying to dry the leather out. You want it to have moisture? If you're going to do this video correct learn the correct way to do it
A hoh will give you a softer and thicker feel while a2000s are very hard but thinner. Hoh feels better in my opinion and tends to last longer but I think a2000s are better when they are perfect stiffness. Once the a2000 starts to get soft it happens really fast in my experience
You thought the guy knew what he was doing on the phone call cuz he asked how old the kid was, then you get a single hinge and dude didn’t ask any other questions….
This was so painful yet so entertaining to watch lol
I understand I understand

your videos just helped my break in my new Rawlings to perfection in only 2 days!
Let’s gooo, love to hear it!!
16:54 the Chip Diamond reference was great
Just crushin the break in guy 😂😂
Yeah I didn’t mean to roast him lol, just trying to help you guys!!!
It hurts so bad watching you microwave those gloves when i cant even buy one🤣
Can you retrain the leather on the glove broken-in at a store? I have a custom glove that was broken in the wrong way by the previous owner.
You can put a mallet in the heel when wrapping it to help it retain its stability.
My kid got Junk Ball this past summer and I’ll be honest, it is one of the hardest forms of wiffleball I’ve ever played lol
Lol love it!
You need to get him a blitz ball your mind will explode
So is it possible to re-work a glove that has been broken-in inocrrectly or is it beyond repair? Maybe relacing and then trying the break-in all over?
Tell me what he says I have the same problem but what I’ve done is create a new pocket and I’m bout to get my nikona replaced
i’ve been to that training facility, super nice
It’s the best!
Hey BGK how can I use the shaving cream method with my catchers mitt?
Great question, I may need to make some short form content on that
Is the blonde Marucci with the Blue Logo the same on used by Josh Jung?
do you like ball players balm more than sarna?
Hey I have been watching your video. Have you try the Japanese Wilson staff glove? I would love to see you make a video explaining the difference with a2k
What happened to more vids about the Wilson 1810??
Did you hot water your MC26 a2k?
Another great video dude! You should do another channel with vlogs.
Not a bad idea 🤔
Are you going to review the cheap’s glove works custom gloves?
I'm having trouble breaking in my glove cuz idek if I want it 1 hinge or two hinge. It's for infield
Can we get a Rawlings pro preferred versus Wilson a 2K
Is there a link to buy the one you broke in? Love that colorway and look of the glove.
What's the glove you used to do your own break-in? with the single post web.
Got a Rawlings HoH. Would you stay away from hot water treatment for it?
What about inside out glove, inverting for 20ish min. Aso did it in a vid and seen a few others too

Yes! Gotta do that next time
Do you recommend one or two hinge Break-in for a pitchers glove? I haven’t seen a pitchers glove in your videos. Thanks!
I flip mine inside out and hit it also on the hinges also but I get it wet in warm water too what’s your opinion is that a good or bad thing to do
Do a Fernando Tatís Junior glove

I think as long as the heel doesn't get folded outwards, and closes normally it's good but not too sure

your glove burned in the microwave because microwaves have hot spots and your microwave doesn't have a turntable to rotate inside.
@BallGloveKing What state do you live in?
He is in Chicago IL.

Chicago Illinois 👌

Microwaves work by radiating the water that's def not good

You should try washing machine and dryer
Should have done the baking method that’s one I remember people doin growing up
Trueee
@ballgloveking if Shaunburg is close to your house then your close to me!
I love tbe microwave method. So fast.
they make pretty cheap clothing steamers that would work just fyi for next time

Can’t believe you have never done a under armor flawless
Underrated fr
🙏 my guy
You helped me break my new glove in
With the shaving cream treatment don’t leave it wrapped, Mallot it then wipe the cream off
Freeze, thaw, season thoroughly, then put it into the oven at 480f for 20 mins
My nephew is a 9 yr old all star. He is about to turn 10. What glove do you recommend that will last him 3/4 years? He's 1st base
Rolling on 2 years with a Nokona for my son. Also 9 years old, all star team. Their first base mitt changed his game big time. He also has a Rawlings but could never close it properly.
What about the olds school put it in the oven with that spray they made

Try get a 2G glove there really stiff
So buddy lives in the Chicagoland area
When wrapping your glove put a baseball in the heel also for a better shape
True true
You said not to wrap a glove. What about a Lizard Skin glove wrap?? It doesn’t squeeze the glove it just makes it so it doesn’t get smushed.
I’ll have to check it out!
@@ballgloveking👍
Been watching for a long time. Cool to find out you are an IL boy!

Why don’t you use products that are actually built for leather?
Like leather solve, and leather carnauba wax. I’m asking because I don’t know.
send me the glove that got put in microwave no stuff on it
God loves you and has so much planned for you trust in him and do not lean on your own understanding
Definitely stoned 18:59
A plastic trash bag didnt burn in microwave?
You should have spent 5 minutes to cleanup the microwave and shaving cream gloves
Just play catch and it will break in on its own
Hi
It’s literally smoking and you put your hand in there
@kevin cyphers is slandering this guys name lying about his purchase
U needed a bigger pot.. I think
