The Cut in Western Australia should be in the top 10. Some absolutely amazing holes. Great clubhouse and the green fees brilliant for the quality of the course.

Thanks Joseph. I played there in 2011. From memory, the holes closest to the water which weave through dunes are brilliant but there are some less interesting holes away from the dunes?

Soon to add 7mb near Hobart and the new refurbished Country Club Casino in Launceston.

Definitely some honourable mentions and, perhaps, a few omissions. Would love to hear what you guys might slot in / replace if you had the pen!
    Joondalup (Quarry/Dunes)
    Bonville
    Barwon Heads
I’d pop a couple of those in the top 10 and likely remove Lonsdale or Port Fairy. Not that those two aren’t fantastic golf courses!
Or, is there a caveat, do they have to be fully public? The courses I’ve mentioned do have memberships, but the public can play without any required credentials or overseas / interstate.

Thanks for the comment, Graeme. Yes, the courses must offer public play at least 5.5 days per week and Golf Australia Magazine specifically mentions that Barwon Heads, Newcastle, Bonville, Ranfurlie, Indooroopilly, Sanctuary Cove’s Palms Course and Settlers Run all missed out because of that. You’ll find Joondalup just missed out on the Top 10!
