Yeah, the alliexpress bootlegs are a mixed bag. They've got some really good NECA TMNT stuff but the SHFiguarts knockoffs tend to be hot garbage.
Dude, the people getting the NECA TMNT figures early from Ali seem to have good luck and "love" them. I personally have not recieved any TMNT from there so I haven't studied paint applications or anything. I did for some reason get a NECA Nathan Drake from them and it came in the figures box and all. Don't have an OG to compare it with but it looks pretty sweet 🤷
My best bootleg story had to be when I went to a retro gaming convention in Arlington Texas at Retropalooza. A vendor had a ton of Mexican bootleg figures. Some in particular that caught my attention were some Homer Simpsons crossed with DC and Marvel superheroes. I bought up as many as he had since idk the next time I’ll ever find more like them. I got hellboy, Spider-Man, Batman, joker, wolverine, and ghost rider. Definitely a cool experience. I love aliexpress has bootlegs. I don’t typically wanna throw an outrageous amount just to ship everything over to me tho. But I’ll fully admit that juggernaut figure caught my eye even at the $50 bucks it cost for me to nab one. I do love some beefy figures.

I do like that Captain America Juggernaut. I'm impressed with how well it turned out. I've heard of Ali Express and almost ordered there before. A lot of UA-cam gamer channels will review these cheap bootleg systems that will play 3,000 games or what not. I almost got one but changed my mind before clicking the purchase button. I've not had any experience with bootleg figures so I can't comment. This was a fun experience though.
Seen an interview with someone from China (?) years ago about figures and they stated most that are labelled bootlegs are actually figures made using the original molds AFTER they have done production orders for companies & its not stated in the contract to destroy the molds so lot company's just reuse them to either remake them or for other purposes hence the often bizarre varients and mash ups. So if you get a good 1 chances are it's came from the same company that made the originals.
The Ali Express KO Hulks and Juggernauts based on the Marvel Legends 80yrs Hulk look pretty good.

These days they sell figures on Aliexpress for 30-40 euros. It's actually hard to tell if it's knock off because it's being sold only for like 15 euros less, but 15 euros is still a big discount. I tempted to order something from there because they seem to have better stock on there (it's actually available).

I order from AliExpress all the time. Even before the plague. Absolute quality outfit. The only time I had a problem was the first time about six years ago. Sent me the wrong but most of the time, especially neca is better than the original.🙂

That is a sweet capt Juggernaut! Those factory workers make more like $2 an hr, so $10-20 a day. I have worked and still work with companies that out source to Asia and Mexico and they get paid shit. It is messez up, but that's on their governments.
Collecting Hasbro stuff, you can get a lot of it from guys that steal it from factories...they can make a days pay selling 1 figure or even a weeks pay.
Great figure though, I would not of been upset with that mix up.

Those are interesting to say the least. Be careful posing the Cap Juggernaut. Shartimus Prime got the Juggernaut version off Aliexpress and the leg broke while posing, it looked like the leg ball joint doesn't hold up well.
That was a marvel legend bootleg
Shartimus bought one based off the 80yrs Hulk bod, so different to this base body. He said it was cold when he tried rotating the thigh swivel.
Collector Express has had several of the KO Hulks and Juggernauts. I don't think he's had any problems
So your theory about how these figures become available isn't quite on point. it's far more likely that the factory owners are selling or giving design schematics to other factories not affiliated with the USA based franchise owners. Sometimes those factories are owned by the same people. it happens with guitars by the boatload.
I don't think I would ever get anything from Ali Express, that is a main line that I collect. But I could consider it on maybe a line that I otherwise wouldn't get anything. For example, if some Mythic Legions item was on there, maybe I'd take a chance.

The shield you got with your captain America/juggernaut boottleg is copy from hot toys 1/6 captain america i collect 1/6 figures- i got years ago grood 1/6 bootleg from GOTG movie version hot toys to built my team. I spend 70 euros and its way better in my opinion the coulors than the original plus its included the alternate headsculp with angry face and the lighing hand these 2 accessories includes in the original version only in the 2 pack figure set grood with racoob rocket. I saved alot money (the original cost 400 euro plus shipping) from this purchase. Great figure in every level. 👍
More aliexpress reviews! I’ve gotten a few bootleg dragon ball mini statues and Figuarts accessories like King Piccolos throne and the quality has been great in my experience.

No, that’s not how it works.. there just made bootleg by the same company that makes them for the name brand. Never is it fallen of the line. There made internally.
