Another winner! From the water board (genius) to the risers and the bridge. Fantastic! I know so many youtubers build modular terrain. But you have them beat. I think most of them to try to over-think the process and in the end really turns into a chore. Love how this one turned out. Gonna HAVE to build some of this into my stuff. Merry Christmas to you and the family.
Thank you very much mate, I am glad you like it. Yeah, I wanted to keep it simple but cool...especially aiming for easy to build hehe. Go for it mate, it's really fun to do. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well and thanks for watching 🎄🙏.
@@jamesfirth-haydon7381 Thank you very much mate, glad you like it. I am happy I decided to go this way. At first it was all 1 part, I am happy to break it all up and start again haha. Thanks for watching mate 🙏
@@patrickcleary2305 Thank you so very much, I am happy that you liked the build. It´s definitely a project that is doable for most people and I love the modularity of it. Go for it mate, it´s a fun build 😉. Merry Christmas and thanks for watching 🎄
You can buy bottles of acrylic varnish from most art shops. I think that would be a cheaper way to do it and allow you to do it inside. The end result looks great, well done!
@@idontwanttopickone True enough , but the board was pretty big and they only sell small bottles where I buy them. So in the end the cans were cheaper where I live. But it definitely can be brushed on, gloss mod podge would work best I think but it was more expensive. I am glad you like it and Merry Christmas mate. Thanks for watching 🙏🎄
Thank you very much mate. Yeah it hit me all of a sudden. I figured starting from the ground up and beginning with a water layer made sense haha. All modular would be a good start for Mordheim 😁. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas mate 🎄😁
Thank you very much, I am happy that you liked it. More to come soon, I have a lot of ideas for Mordheim and I am going to building a lot more to add to this. Thanks for watching 🙏
That's a wonderful concept! Looking forward to the end result. I have been thinking about a making a Hive City board for INQ28, but realised I don't have the space to do it justice. I am definitely going to go this route when I have the space. Having a (sump)sea base board with (hive)stackers on top of it is going to be great (when I get the opportunity)! (In the meantime I am going to build a simple Killteam sized board with the Killzone: Volkus ruines. 3x3 cm frame with a 4mm thick MDF board and 2mm thick cork sheets for big concrete tiles).
Thank you very much. Glad you liked it. That sounds awesome mate, go for it! Yeah rhe size is indeed harder to store, but with everything being modular you can set the board away against a wall and all the terrain pieces in some storage boxes. That´s how I do it. Kill team size boardq are fantastic as well, i´ve build some in the past both for Kill Team and warcry. That´s a cool idea with the cork tiles for concrete, it works perfectly. Have fun crafting mate and thanks for watching 🙏

Instead of spraying gloss over the water base, what if thin plastic wrap was layered over the dry paint? Wouldn’t that give a gloss effect and be much cheaper?
@@ronniabati it could work but it´s not easy to glue it down, so I have not really tried anything with it. You could always try. Let me know if it works 😉. Thanks for watching mate and Merry Christmas 🎄
@@dagabonpataman8312 Thank you very much, glad you like them. I have started on some buildings and so far I am having a lot of fun with them.
