Nobody’s probably going to see this because all of these comments are from 2+ years ago but this song is a spiritual high to me , it’s so beautiful and it only makes me feel happy , like I want to go out skateboarding and act dumb with my friends from the early peaks of morning till the very peak of 2am , I finally found my aesthetic .

This song was playing when me and my wife were eating together in a restaurant. The first days that felt like Sommer. We were sitting at the rooftop waiting for our food and she looked amazing. The song complimented her looks and the vibe itself. I’ll never forget that smile of her while hearing this song. I love her so much ❤

this is my favorite song since I was 12 years old. today, I am 16, and with each passing year, I feel a different feeling every time I listen to it. I listened to this song at my best and at the worst times, I showed it to several people, and I also listened to it alone (most of the time).

listening to this music while out in public at midnight is like someone comforting me and whispering to my ear that it's ok to phase out for just a little, just as long as this music. it's like i'm being told, it doesn't matter if i'd look stupid doing that as long as that's what i wanna do. every other people and anxious thoughts just fade away. i feel alone in a crowded place, but in a good way.

Life changes, priorities change, people grow apart, grow closer, and new opportunities arise. i lived in montreal when the stay with us video was released onwards and knew a couple of the members/touring drummers (appeared in a film one member ended up making later on, good times haha). the album seemed like a culmination of years of work - some of the songs were brought over from their previous band, the roll out of the singles was pretty slow and they played live a lot before the album was announced/released - so although it was surprising when things slowed down, it kind of made sense. from the outside looking in it does seem like this band dropped off the face of the planet but at the time it felt to me like a natural progression for a group of friends who had been playing music together from a young age.
The album has come to symbolize a very specific time in my life and the time period in which it came out. this, coupled with the general theme of the songs, has retroactively cemented it as a wonderful little ode - a swan song of sorts - to memories, intimacy, loneliness, and impermanence in modern life. multitudes of individual souls trying to reach out to each other, fighting isolation and a ticking clock. encompassed by a metropolis whose swirling lights seem to always be lit and never changing, while the souls the lights shine upon slowly but inevitably change with the relentless march of time.
Feel like the title is for her to "stay with us" and not kill herself. She's spaced out and floating, eventually getting to Suicide Forest (look it up) and the water down her hands can symbolize blood.
