The tribulations facing the ummah should not cause despair, because Allah has said that He "will not change the condition of a people until they change that which is in themselves". This statement suggests that we have the ability to make a difference by doing "house-cleaning" within ourselves. As this process of tajdid (the revival of Islam) can be overwhelming, we may be confused as to where to begin. This lecture provides the foundation for this monumental task by referencing the work of a 20th Century scholar named Muhammad Al-Ameen Ash-Shanqeeti. This West-African scholar provides ten great issues upon which the entire world revolves that Muslims need to be aware of if they are to begin the much needed task of revival. Other topics discussed: native Indian/African history in America, the movie "The Siege", social issues and peer pressure, Western influences on the Muslim world, the Taliban in Afghanistan, Imam Quick's acceptance of Islam, movements in prayer, Allah ordaining five hundred prayers a day and then reducing it to five, signs of the last day, being proactive before the tribulation, Muslims stereotyping other people, telepathic communication, how colonizers succeeded in conquering native Indians, stereotyping in the media, and whether shia are considered Muslim. For some reason, I can only see up to three replies & so I'm merely starting a new comment here in order to InshaAllah continue the written conversation we've started about the necessity & yet the denial of Qur'an being adopted as Qur'an with respect to each language in order to make it truly universal instead of that which is against the laws of Allah regarding sameness.
Two of the biggest issues no one wishes to really do anything about is the fact that here in the states we now have thousands of different versions of Qur'an for sale, the very same issues with the Bible. We need to solidify the presence, sincerity, & uniqueness of the Holy Qur'an by establishing one Qur'an because if we don't, regardless of the printing excuses or what have you, those two issues kind of invalidate any real sense of unity because it promotes confusion & unnecessary excuse.
I don't understand your point. We DO have one Qur'an, because the Qur'an is in Arabic, and that Arabic is the SAME in EVERY Qur'an throughout the world. Translations are not considered by scholars to be the actual Qur'an -- they're simply translations. And regarding any differences in translations... this is normal and to be expected because humans have differing interpretations, however, these differences (in the vast majority of cases) do NOT change the meaning of the message. And in cases where there may be a difference in meaning, we have the ORIGINAL Arabic text as a reference for scholarly analysis and discussion over these differences -- which, by the way, the Bible and other religious texts do not have, since their original scriptures were never preserved 100%. So when you say "the very same issues with the Bible" I respectfully disagree and would ask you to clarify your point. Allah knows best.
@@IslamOnDemand Everything, respectfully you've said, brother, only seeks to further create & clarify the point your heart already knew. The Qur'an isn't the sole property of a particular language. You are right with respect to impossibilities existing regarding the parallel parking of one language within another language. Allah doesn't say anything about having any more than one Qur'an, however, nor does Allah disregard with great emphasis of the Qur'an only being preserved with no change only in Arabic, & so quite obviously at this point as well as since the inception of the Qur'an, Allah has showered mankind with the kind of intellect to tolerate a world where one particular language's Qur'an doesn't change, while thousands of other metaphors, stylistic differences, choices of an "author", etc., etc., etc., seek only to plague the world with thousands upon thousands of versions ill from interpretation in the first place. One means one means one, one Arabic Qur'an, one English Qur'an, one Chinese Qur'an, etc., etc., etc., not one Arabic Qur'an with thousands of translations of the same language. @@coreywindt8912 You're being idealistic. I agree that it would be preferable to have only one translation. But this is simply NOT realistic. How exactly do you propose the Muslim ummah arrive at a single translation for any one language?? It is literally an impossibility to achieve without disagreements. And again, disagreements are NOT a problem because these disagreements (for the vast majority of iyahs) will NOT change the meaning.
Respectfully, brother, assuming for a moment you're Muslim of course & not merely one of the people Allah has blessed to the point of understanding how easy it is to agree on continuously publishing only one Qur'an in the Arabic language, this is precisely how the Shaitan continues to sow discord & disregard regarding the Straight Path. Not only is it preferable to Allah that one, unchangeable, universal Qur'an with respect to each language be adopted & put into play, it is one of the most basic, fundamental necessities of Islam, one that hasn't been adhered to in any kind of way & until the necessity of one & only one Qur'an for every language is met, the beauty of the language of It's origin is downplayed. The household divided against itself can stand alone as well as in factions, but not truly together until the injustice of printing more than one Qur'an for each language is resolved & a small price is no longer attached to it in the marketplace. How does the ummah of "publishers" agree to universally promote the necessity of printing only one & furthermore the closest transliteration of the language of origin: very easily: in the same manner through which the decision of Allah is permitted to print only one Qur'an in Arabic. Consensus with respect to the One adopted as the Qur'an for each language isn't necessary, but rather, the simplicity of consensus with respect to the necessity of having only one Qur'an can be denied by none other than the same spirit of Eblis inflicting the Bible with translation(s), metaphors, changed meanings, some obvious some subtle. As clearly & dominantly as we write the letter "I" & translate it only one way for the purpose of fulfilling this basic, fundamental tenet of Islam, one & only one Qur'an for each language has been one of the simplest, barest necessities Allah has commanded since the completion of Qur'an.
Any kinds of pictures on the wall is discouraged in Islam. This is a masjid and the framed pictured on the wall has picture of man in it. It should not be on the wall of masjid. I would not even put it on the wall in my home. Thank you for your understanding.

Allah swt prescribed 50 prayers a day on muslims in al Israel and mirage night . And during the returning of the prophet Mohammed to the earth, He Pbuh passed by prophet Moses Pbuh and knew the news of the 50 prayers that Allah has ordained to muslims. Prophet Moses advised prophet Mohammed to return to Allah and ask Him to lessen that number of prayers because Mohammed's nation's would not bear that (big number) , prophet Mohammed already returned to Allah and Allah lessened them to 45 prayers. Then when He returned to Moses again, He advised Him again to return to Allah and ask him to lessen the prayers. Thus , prophet Mohammed continued going to His Lord and returning until the number of prayers became only 5 prayers, and still prophet Moses consider them a lot and ask prophet Mohammed to ask Allah for lessening them . Prophet Mohammed felt too shy to ask Allah for lessening more . Then Allah said ( my decree never changes, they are 5 in number, but 50 in reward) . May Allah guide us all to His straight path.Ameen.

why to we keep make comparisons to human beings with animals...animals don't have mouths to speak of those things in which hurts them or if they do we don't listen...people can go on strike because we have mouths to protest against the things in which we feel are oppressive.

what is the Islam or Qur'an solution to the gender imbalance problem in China and India. There are way more girls than boys....and therefore there are tens of millions of bachelors doomed to never find a wife, they face impossible demands like they need to possess wealth beyond their means of achievement to be considered at all.
Since Islam claims to be the only true religion and blessing to the world I ask Muslims to come forward and show me how Islam can help here!
polygyny is a way to solve situations like this where there are more women than male in a country according to islam. There are many rules the male has to follow if he is going to be married to up to 4 wives. Justice between all of the wives, same amount of respect, love etc. Polygyny solves the gender imbalance, but im not sure if todays males are capable of being respectful to 4 wives, while they cant even love and be respectful to a single wife or even their mothers..

Polygamy is the Answer, where a man is entitled to get Married up to 4 women is the solution. Because man's nature by default is inclined towards multiple spouses.
That's the reason why there's more women than men around. For us men, to Marry them with honor and dignity so that we may enjoy their companionship in a legal way, and not via Scandalous affairs which only bring embarasement, humiliation and destruction in society.

We don't have one universal, unchanged Qur'an; we have one universal, unchanged Qur'an in the Arabic language. Islam isn't really Islam anywhere on the planet until the economics of politics & the politics of economics stop preventing the commands of Allah from being realized in the form of only one Qur'an for each language. No Muslim would disagree that one of the greatest needs of the ummah is for each of it's language's to have one Qur'an as opposed to thousands.
You're overstating your case. Kindly show me ONE EXAMPLE where two differing English translations of the Qur'an result in differing meanings, leading to differing beliefs or practices. Please provide one surah/iyah and the differing translations that support your argument.
@@IslamOnDemand when any word of the Qur'an is changed from this version to that person, regardless of the similarity or difference with respect to choice of replacement, Allah's Command in nullified & voided. The Shaitan has made it seem impossible now to fulfill one of the clearest, most basic tents of the religion: to only have one, unchanged, unaltered in any way for any reason Qur'an in each language, to not sell Qur'an anywhere anyplace anytime, & to have Masajids not where PowerPoint presentations & twenty different versions of Qur'an are right there on the shelves for people to consume less of, but rather a place where business doesn't enter in, where one Qur'an is one Qur'an, the place where Christian outreach but closed doors to muslimeen would be unheard of.

There are too many altered Qur'an here in the states to choose three from which to take every word that's replaced & changed for a different word because in every Qur'an, explained by this person, published by the company, interpreted through the lens of this individual, hundreds of not thousands of words are replaced for different words. Your request itself literally proves the point that one of the greatest challenges facing the ummah with respect to the publishing companies & those responsible for hundreds of different Qur'an instead of the only we need, is to do away with all but one. You don't disagree.
