You just inspired me to go kayaking, dirtbiking, 4wheeling whatever it is with my son to find artifacts around america while he grows up, ty man. And that was just the intro…we found a arrowhead while fishing this is how i ended up here a few weeks later, we found a spot (me carrieing the one year old) and we found a whole site where they made them!!!!

Quite possibly the best comment I’ve ever gotten… I’ve had a few very few negative responses about the intro I’m glad you like it and I hope you and your son find all kinds of great stuff… Thank you so much

Great stuff Jeff! The last time I was up that way on a motorcycle one of the lakes was pulled down really low. If I had been by myself I would have stopped and checked it out. Congratulations on all you finds my friend and thanks for sharing with us.

At 7 minutes and 45 seconds that rock you hold in your hand perfectly it'll fit nicely and the ear on the left is what they tapped other rocks with if you hold it in your hand you'll see that it fits perfect nice fine have a great day

I would have to call that first one a Dalton . I'm going to have to get the creeks around here . There has got to be something in them . I liked that comment you made " It's going to be a broke or something better " . Most of them are . Nice finds ! Seen your video last night but I was worn out . Saved it for this Morning . Enjoyed the finds as always .

Thanks brother it’s definitely debatable about the Dalton it has characteristics of both of Yadkin and Dalton I’m really a bit perplexed by it... Thanks for the comment and I hope you’re well

What a beautiful pile of finds, from a bunch of different methods, in one video. Especially love those quartz pieces! Crazy how you can find a point sitting right by another’s footprint. Good lesson to never give up! Thanks for sharing and Best of luck from us!

Hey there R.R.! Just wanted to say I have been watching some of your vids and enjoy them. I recently moved to a town called Pinehurst NC, and some of the area looks a lot like where you hunt.
I have done over 20 years of archaeology for the state of NJ. We have documented the oldest outer costal plain prehistoric and contact period sites on the east coast. Dated 10,500 with over 100 burials.
We put in over 130 units during many summers. I have since damaged my spinal cord, but enjoy watching your videos. It is hard for me to get out. I have done some AU prospecting in the area with a local friend, and wouldn't mind walking around a bit more than I have, but it is getting really hard to do so. If you are ever in my area perhaps I could show you some Kirk material and other items from NJ and PA. Hope to hear back from you at some point. There are some really promising local to me if you are interested.
    Thank you,
    JL

Found you through Heartbreaker Relics. I immediately checked out your channel when I heard "western NC mountains ". My grandparents were from the Bryson City area. I remember as a child a graveyard were some of my grandmother family were buried. The path leading had several pure white points. Anyway....you ever searched the Tellico, TN area , just curious. I trout fish whenever I get a chance. Subscribed

What’s your best tip for walking creeks? What do you look for? Found my first piece in a creek but you can’t get a bearing with only one point. Sandy creek with some gravel catches. Thanks for any advice!

@@SLArtifacts ok I see...Your chances of finding stuff in it creeks are much better than mine because of the elevation....I’m in the mountains so when it floods it really floods much of once was there is either buried or washed away however that doesn’t mean it’s not still there But it does decrease my chances....The area that you’re in has a lot more chert than here...So my advice is math out to creeks that you think might be running past sites and start below there and walk I just look for evidence even if he found a few flakes that’s a good sign...You may take you some time to figure out which creeks produce and which ones don’t... when you do find that out all you have to do is go back after each heavy rain it’s like hitting the reset button... good luck

Creeks are incredibly hard in western North Carolina no matter where you are… but a little easier down east… my theory is get away from the mountains a little bit when it comes to walking creeks rivers
