Wa oooh, I Thank Thee ALMIGHTY GOD For His Everlasting Mercies endures with us forever Halleluyahhhhhhh AMEN!!! Listening to this evergreen music at this period year 2024, I remember rocking with the beautiful song in the 70s Thank You LORD!
Hmmmm, this was a music that can’t be forgotten for so many reasons. I was in primary 2 @ Moremi day Nursery School in Abule-okuta in Bariga Lagos. we were given three weeks holiday while the festival lasted. Especially as it relates to welcoming the black race world wide to Festac77 held in Nigeria. An event that has not yet been replicated again as widely cerelebrated in Nigeria in 1977.
Wow! That start with Welcome to Nigeria was nostalgic. I was quite young then, but can remember the music vividly. Wish I could see the video of the performance now. Must have been glorious!
Many thanks for this post. It reminds one of when Nigeria has the money but didn't know how to spend it. It was more than hosting the soccer World Cup.
