One important thing to know about tension ring settings is that they require special alloys and/or heat treatment and production processes in order to maintain tension through the typical rigors of daily wear. The two companies I know of who do tension settings well are Neissing and Steven Kretchmer Design. Both use proprietary alloys and manufacturing processes to make sure the stone stays in place. Many people have had tension set stones fall out after a short time because traditional jewelry metals and fabrication processes don't provide the elasticity and strength to maintain tension long term.

While the ring is on fingers its not going to come under any pull action. I make them . 100% safe.
