Hard to find Geoff live on stage anymore, but if you get the chance .... GO ! There will never be such a direct connection to the past blues masters as he is, again.
My sister sent me this video and I must sheepishly admit I didn't click on it for a couple days, but now that I've heard it once I'm hitting the play button again. And again. What a performance, incredible!
He's still got that great voice that is so recognizable as his alone. What a great musician. I'm still humming bits of his music he recorded fifty years ago. It's just that catchy!
Beautiful!!!! Saw Geoff performing years ago in germany. This changed my life. He got so nice guitar arrangments and a highly gifted voice. Hope to see him once again.
Richard Thompson said there are three white blues singers, and Geoff Muldaur is at least two of them. Well this clip has had 10,007 hits, and at least 10,006 of them are by me....
Yes! This is just a wonderful gift. What a find this video. I love Mr. Muldaur's work. And that parlor Martin sounds kinda nice too. In the right hands. His hands. Much love to you.
Mr Mouldaur is for me one the must serious blues singers and guitar players. and is a living legend. when he plays in Better Days he was giving the rights of his deep art
Geoff! Have been listening for about 45 years. You are a American Treasure! I will ask somebody... i have the lp 'Sleepy Man Blues'... i'm trying to hear 'Oh The Rain Don't Fall On ME No More' ... from a better source than the lp! Can't seem to get it on line.. can someone enlighten an old guy?
I've been listening to Geoff since '67. I have a decent copy of SMBlues in .mp3 format do you have a d/l site I can upload to, utube is too much trouble to deal with
In my blues pantheon, he ranks with Tom Rush as one of the few white guys with blues "cred." I was introduced to Geoff through Kweskin's jug band, and I've been on board ever since. Sublime.
WHAT A VOICE! Been listening to him since '66 and still thinks he's one of the greats! Hey, and his guitar playing ain't bad either!!
Since he and Maria were with Jim Kweskin's Jug band.

Wonderful! Hawaiian singers use this vocal technique similarly.
