So grateful to live in a time where members of Local Natives, The National, Bon Iver, Sharon Van Etten and countless others are all friends and collaborate together. Beautiful song! I feel very lucky to have so much great music and to have it readily available.
I've been fascinated to see how now, with the pandemic going on long enough, we've sort of run out of things that were filmed pre-COVID, and the effects of social distancing are seeping into the art we consume. There's something about these two walking on opposite sides of the river, and having their videos juxtaposed next to each other in the editing stage because they are unable to physically be next to each other without masks, that really made my heart clench.
I don't listen to a whole lot of local natives, but this is probably in my top 50 songs of all time. Just incredibly beautiful, and lyrically brilliant.

Thats how I felt after watching Heat Waves by Glass Animals. The end of the video, when he performs in an empty theater made my heart hurt.
